Dubya, I ordered used one from ebay and tested and returned. The return shipping cost would be $10. The audio store charging about $50 to check. I am thinking to test with audio gateway module. Anyone knows where it is and how to replace it. Thanks.

No sound
It is my understanding that the AGW is the amplifier. The one you got from ebay did it produce sound? Did you have it coded to car? I heard it has to be coded and is not a plug and play part. If you did not have it coded and it worked awesome.

Definitive answer have someone pull fault codes using Xentry (MB diagnostics). Steadfast on replacing parts without diagnostics, begin with amp you may get lucky with plug & play replacement but any problems, for instance still no sound you will need to transfer data using Xentry anyway so why not pull codes to begin with.

Thank you Konigstiger, I have no luck by replacing the amp. I did try with another one plug and play. Still no sound. How to transfer data using Xentry or how to pull code? can you please guide me? Thanks.

You need to find an independent shop that works on MB equipped with MB diagnostic system – called Xentry, DAS, or STAR. Request they erase all stored codes and retrieve current codes. These codes will identify your problem. If it is the amp see if shop will install amp you supply if so, they will need to transfer data from your original amp to replacement using same MB diagnostics system used to pull fault codes. Shop for replacement using part # 2129007108 only. Only alternative is MB dealer $$$ and they will only install new replacement most likely not allowing to to supply part $$$.

All, Here is the fix for my No sound issue. The media interface was the problem. I just bypassed with optical fiber loop, under the front glow box compartment. Now, I need to update with one I bought from ebay. Help please.
