Question Car changes from automatic to manual by itself

Hi All,

Does anyone have an issue with your transmission changing in mid drive from automatic E or Sport S to manual on it's own & if so is there a fix or is it a big problem?????

IIRC on these models if you use the down shift padle it will go to manual mode and switch back to auto after a while.
I'm not aware of any other stuff on that so I won't be of much help but it may be a starting point for diagnostics.

You are doing well by not ignoring stuff like that early on.

This does not happen commonly. I can think of a few reasons (SCM, LIN) this can go wonky.

Do yourself a favor and scan your car with a Launch Creader Elite or similar to retrieve fault codes.

Can you get your tranny back in auto mode easily by pressing buttons or does it not want to do that ?

When was last ATF oil service?

It does go back to automatic when I press the right paddle for two seconds.

Don't know. I'm going to bring it in though. I only own it for two weeks.
