Heated steering wheel lights up for few seconds then shuts off after swap
I got a newer version steering wheel and can’t get the heated part to stay on.
I upgraded to the sporty version.
My oem steering wheel was heated as well.
Is there a reset procedure I need to do?

Use your scanner bi-directional ( actuation ) function to turn ON the heater and also using the heater button, 2 test, while measuring the current to the heater.
Connector B1 pin 1 and pin 2 is where the heater get power.

i don’t know what his other posts are but he’s dissing me for making some upgrades on my “old” Benz. Only time I get that type of reaction is when someone is being negative towards me.
I’m sure you’ve run into this at least once in your life to understand my view.

If I'm not mistaken SXN, Cali is referring to your scanner in post 6. If there's an issue, the proper tool will allow diagnostics. Sounds like you may need a better tool. At any rate, getting snarky with the guy who points that out isn't going to help and kinda makes YOU the tool.

My dear SXN, your reading miscomprehension displayed in your response to CBD's "use one that works" comment (yes, he was talking about your inferior scan tool) really touched you. It's the internet. Truly unfortunate, coming to this forum asking for help, misinterpreting a post from likely the best electronics guy on the forum who could actually help, insulting other members who called him out as the petulant child he is, then replying to each of them with condescension and projection. If only he realized those that responded are highly educated engineers, from all over the world, english being their second or third language, nuance seems to escape him, especially because one of us has actually completed this swap on his son's car and could have helped him through this, truly sad.
