Wheel speed sensor

Best you buy genuine MB wheel speed sensor, it wont be US$10 for sure.
Some sensors have rotational sensing capability, to tell the car is rolling backwards ( say during hill assist ) or in reverse mode.
So the N30/4 ESP computer would expect to see a different type of signal from such sensor.
finally got around to replacing the front wheel speed sensor.I used this bosch sensor from rock auto and problem is fixed..This only cost 10$ and I'm sorry but bosh who's been around forever and was 35$ cheaper then original Mercedes sensor..Here is part number if anybody needs...Could not tell difference between the two visually..

Damn US$10 for a genuine Bosch, that is so awesome. I thought you got some funny brand when you said US$10

In my country this Bosch will sell for US$35 ish.
MB indonesia charges U$80 or so for MB branded one

Only reason I went with the Bosch is because I wasn't positive that it was the sensor..So figured spend a bit less.
So far so good..Car is now back to perfect..
I love my benz
I've read a lot of posts explaining how to remove the clip on the fender wall that holds the wheel speed sensor connection in place..
DONT TRY TO REMOVE THE CLIP BY PRYING UP ON THE METAL RETAINING CLIP..
Just take a small flat head screw driver and push the clip upwards on the side of the connection rather the top...This way it will not fly off and take your eye out..
Very simple and controlled this way..

When you scope the actual signal, perhaps it is visible , either the pulses/speed is totally gone or maybe erratic.

it's amazin how these Bosch sensors age to loose their hability to sense magnetic ring... sometimes the ring itself needs to be replaced...
These sensors use molded plastic to be practically water tight.
$10 new Bosch sensor is a no brainer... perhaps testing a SIMPLE RELEARN COULD HELP while awaiting for new parts.
