Been following this thread, seems like huge hassle. I'm not a computer geek, so it's all Greek to me. I opted to contact Vladimir and purchased the code from him. 2 minutes later I have ils active. Worth every penny.

The confusing bit is you have to do each module one at a time, one item at a time, so it's a bit tedious, and seems like twice the work it actually is.
I'd have done the vladimir thing but I don't have an ebay account, don't do crypto, and shipping was bonkers.

I will be relentless in asking them to fix this and hope others are as well.
Latest
ANyone have info I can send them to help them fix their software so it will save these 2 variants.
I even told them to go find a W212 with LED lights and try it themselves.
Explained how China has their own version of this ILS..
SO CLOSE to this working yet so far away.

For what it's worth I used the submit feedback function in the creader to report the issue. It still shows "in progress" after a month and a half

I still have our email conversation going and my guess is they need a Car to plug into to see what is not happening.
The customer service rep I am communicating with is being very helpful it is just out of her hands and up to their programmers.
But I do think something is getting lost in translation but I keep at it... as emails are cheap.
I think there is one step missing
I could pay someone to code my car but what is the fun in that?
plus I figure this code reader is pretty powerful and may add modules for the other makes our fleet...

For those that have done this, how do you know you have ILS activated?

NOPE.
Think the finally blew me off and my badgering.
Did anyone else complain to them about this issue?
I Truly think they do not have enough programmers based on all the various makes and model crs they are making tis thing work for ... and as they say the SQUEEKY WHEEL gets the attention.
send them an email.

DONE and it works just so many variables to change and then you do it again for RH light.
I got the menu to pull up and turned on then sat in garage and well no issues.
Will confirm with test tonight.
FYI: I did have battery charger on battery the whole time took like 30-45 mins as after every variable change you have to save and then wait.
Pretty much take the info that guy in the YOU TUBE wrote, and I copied above and go down the list and find the right module.
I can say the Second module list is FWGW or something but was CHASSIS Gateway.
He has HLI-FL212 and I have SG-SW-L for LH headlamp module.
Few different English words as I guess the Launch coder use a different translator.
Yours may be different as sometimes he uses English word for NO or YEs and then on Launch you get German so take your time make sure you have them all before changing them.
WI am attaching my revised word doc I made after going thru it to find everything.
I know I messed up, but it was close enough for me to figure out. Think I forgot a few words here and there.
Here is copy and paste of my text:

Hi there. I'm using a Launch CReader Elite 2.0 and a 2020 GLE350 167.149. A weird thing I'm struggling with from your instructions is literally the first part. I am looking for the "Central Gateway" and do not see this as an option. Instead, I see:
Type of drive
Chassis
Driver assistance system
Body
Information and Communication
Seats and Doors
Air Conditioning
Similarly, when I go to Chassis, I see:
Active Suspension - Active suspension
AMG DRVU - AMG DRIVE UNIT

if memory serves e right these were the ones that would not save as I Wanted:
Vehicle Data -LDC
Datem 9 = 212M ILS SAE – Change to 212M ILS ECE
Vehicle Data - LUC
Datem 11 = 212M ILS SAE – Change to 212M ILS ECE
but I may be wrong and it is posted someowhere within this thread... I was not the only one as others posted about issue as well and posted about my emails to launch retailer ho threw their hands up and gave up on helping me,

I do not want the expense of those systems was hoping this would work which it really should since it pulls up all the little coding bits you have to change...
just does not let these 2 last ones save correctly

IT did allow me to recode the engine ECO start/stop button to be REMEMBER LAST so when I turn it off I never had to worry about it again.
There are other things it can do just this one headlight issue is all.
I mean it is a long process and every step before saved correctly just these last 2. Happens to others as well we tried all sorts of things.
I wonder why because it what happens is it does not save what you want nor what it was originally but to one of the other 12 or so choices you have.
someone will tinker with it and figure it out.
