Reverse Camera yellow/green/red lines missing, no beeping either

We were doing some work to my daughters 2013 E350 today and somehow deactivated the backup camera lines, and the beeping when you get too close to something. The car is equipped and it has been working, but not now. Does anyone know how to turn it back on? Thanks

There is no button on the dash that we can find. We tried to adjust everything we adjusted today. No joy.

You don't have this button? https://img.freepik.com/premium-phot...26934-5905.jpg

It might not be on the dash, check where the light switches are in case it is there.

As for guide lines, once you put the vehicle in reverse, if I recalled correctly, there is the settings menu that allows you to configure that on and off.

You should be able to turn Parktronic on and off in the IC menu items.

What work were you doing?

My error. The Parktronic is controlled by a button on the dash. With a proper scan tool, you can however determine if it is working.

UPDATE

So, after talking with her husband, my daughter called to tell me that there wasn't ever any yellow/green/red gridlines (that was on their other vehicle), however, there was an audible warning when she got too close to something that is not working. The bumpers do have sensors, so this makes sense.

To answer some of the other questions - we do not have the P button on the dash, which is why I was so baffled.

I was doing some refurbishment of the interior, installed a carplay unit to the command, and I had benzninja doing a few things too regarding the seat belts. He is certain he did not touch anything to do with the parktronic system so that's why I figured I did it. I just can't figure out how.

I have access to Xentry, and I also have a Foxwell 510 scanner. You can see that one here

Amazon Amazon

Any advice as to how to get the beeping back is appreciated. She actually liked that feature, and I just don't know what I might have done to get rid of it.

Well, if you have XENTRY (and probably even Foxwell, though I don't know), you can run a scan to see if there are any errors. Parktronic is the N62 module. Radar sensors are the N62/1 module. For the N62 module, you can go into Activations and test to see if the LEDs and acoustic warnings can be activated.

And, just to be clear, you do NOT have this button?

You can also check the configuration settings.

If the reversing camera has been replaced and has lost the grid lines it will require recoding. On-line SCN recoding will give you back your grid lines. Your main dealer will do this for a price. An independent contractor who has on line access will be much cheaper. Off line coding will not work.

Mine glitches some times and the lines disappear together with the parktronic aural warnings for a while. Given the amount of communication faults that are recorded on Xentry (on my car) between the camera and just about every other module it is connected to (Head Unit, Instrument Cluster, Ignition Lock and SAM) this is likely a wiring issue. I'm still going to troubleshoot this one with the Cali method looking for bad ground posts and solderless pins on the involved modules...
