Around the pillars for the front doors, both sides, just below the carpet. There are others below the seats.

These cars do not like water on the carpets.

Perhaps @CaliBenzDriver may have some suggestions.

I think the communication errors- should be dealt with first.

this looks a bit familiar...

-- I would double check oil-in-harness at
ECU, CPS, lambda.

-- if that does not pan out, then see why caused low voltage

they look ok to me, but it wouldn't hurt to get some electrical contact cleaner and clean them I suppose

I didn't check the second as I couldn't get it off and didnt want to break anything, however I didnt see any oil on the harness itself. when I get back home ill do more investigation but yes the codes havent changed.

side note, does anyone know what this box does? it just has red and black wires, the other wires are all cut.

I have a real hard time with the odd STORED faults... that don't clear - It makes me doubt of the others as in... crazy ECU or crazy cam/crank sensors or reboot and see

checked all the connections, main and the 4 cam pos sensors, all seemed fine but sprayed them with contact cleaner... will let them dry out over night.
another issue, there is a hose, PVC? of some sort disconnected from behind the engine? I can't tell when it's supposed to go. it has been leaking oil back there.
does anyone have a diagram of that? its middle drivers side back.

Could it be coolant instead? The coolant temperature sensor is around there, and it is known to leak (plastic)

rear oil leak

The PCV is on Bank1 (passenger side)...
In your picture the standard leak is the coolant plastic elbow that feeds your heater core.

britle plastic elbow

engine rear OIL leak on the driver side may be:
  • vacuum pump blown check-valve ??
  • Intake camshaft B2 rear plug ??
  • dipstick O-ring ??
