Battery warning on dashboard
Hey, i got this warning whilst driving, soon the stereo switched off and eventually power steering was a bit hard. My instinct was that its the battery since i have not changed since i bought the car in 2015. So i changed the battery, but the warning is still coming and power steering is hard. What could this be?

As @trigital mentioned, it could be the alternator. When either a battery or alternator goes bad, it puts an extra strain on the electrical system. Mercedes are particularly sensitive to voltages. If your 10-year-old batter was failing, that could damage the alternator, which supplies regulated voltage to the car once running. You may want to get some tools if you want to DIY. You should get both. Be sure to apply coupons. They will cost you less than a trip to the dealer to tell you that you need to replace the alternator.
If you are still having problems, I recommend reaching out to BenzNinja for professional support using XENTRY.

A positive step would be to look in the matching chassis forum.
It's always a bad idea to use the car alternator to charge a drained battery. It puts out way too much current. ALT only regulates voltage, not current that's unlimited under 100Amps... a battery killer!
OP may be dealing with the aftermath of that or bad regulator brushes, toasted diodes rectifier...
Voltmeter showing above 13V would be nice. Oxidized single main GND strap is always good to deal with a secondary strap.
