so what do we do about this?
i have bunch of mistery codes all around the car including delayed shift that comes and goes

random codes for dome lights doors trunk climate control etc. meanwhile all those seem to be functioning properly but still throw codes related to sam and some mistery CIRCUIT 30G which nobody seems to be able to find
im hoping new launch scanner will be able to better identify the souce since it has topology feature( dont know how useful that is yet)

Yes you've got it, unfortunately.
What are your weird codes... lets fix 'em!

FYI: 30G I think is "key:ON" power -
Read WIS about F32-Prefuse and N10/1 F-SAM: these modules jointly switch power circuits.

The chassis is built around separate networks to limit the extent of interactions between modules.
However there's a geeat deal of interactions across boundaries that are crossed through multiple gateways.

The ECU/TCU rely heavily on shared CAN bus for basic performance.
Anything that affect their CAN bandwidth directly degrade timely performance. It's rely unfortunate Bosch decided to rely on shared buses. Even stupid wipers use deducated LIN lines, but the TCU: nope!

Once upon a time recently...
wife was closing the trunk lid using buttons over CAN-B... that made idling M276 distinctively misfire... interesting architecture
(Trunk checks vehicle speed nul from ESP!)

This gives me necessary incentive to further improve my CAN-B wiring !
I'll see if this bug is reproduceable for testing.

What I find amazin is how CAN bus issues reveal unstable ECU performance. Powertrain should be well isolated from remote chaos.

Post your fault code about 30G if you want to understand the situation when 30G come and go,

Maybe this will help the people learning about the proper use of press fit vs soldering. ultimately, a car should not have press fit connections due to vibrations of the car. There are even examples online of components coming out of the factory starting to corrode because the factory humidity was not proper….

In automotive environment the solderless connections is preferable only because of vibration where this new solder is not elastic at all. I remember old electronics when we had to use artificial ice to verify "cold" soldering.

Anyhow, waste of energy troubleshooting "noises" over connectors as all electronics has "error correction" routines.

Pressed pins are a bad solution to a good problem.

Since soldering has been in use, heavy components have been BOTH mechanically bonded AND soldered. Very old tech!! (***)

There are no amateurs making executive decisions at Bosch for valuable business.

The long story short is SOLDER THE LOOSE PINS is all thats needed to make this A-1 grade.

***: I saw that in the Mirsubishi COMAND Module. The Mitsu guys are not rookies, they know what harsh environments are like. This is a sign of honest quality.
