Lightbulb advice for parting out my 2012?

I'm the proud owner of a totaled E350: 150k miles, knocking engine, destroyed rear passenger door (w/ frame damage), torn front bumper/slightly caved in radiator. Are there some lower effort, non-obvious parts that I could turn around to make some change on eBay? Would keep it around for parts (as I now have a 2014), but my landlord probably won't really like the idea. My goal is have it gone come end of summer. I don't mind putting in some work as long as the payoff is there

Thanks!

If you have room to store it, strip it.

Unless you're buying back a presumable totalled and insured vehicle, take the money and run.

2014 is a facelift car, 2012 is pre-facelift, the facelift W212 almost should have been called a W213 as it had so many changes.

Depends on how deep ya wanna go, taking cash is generally the least headache. If you do go for it, things like windshields due to being MB, if 4matic the transfer case and axle shafts especially the front one. Any module if in good shape. Ton of stuff that can be sold however its a task.

tow the thing out to your nearest dismantler. The money is in the seats, steering wheel, windows, doors, and wheels

What do you do with the body if you first strip it of the parts? Wreckers take cars for parts and you might run in a problem getting rid of the carcass.

Adding to rapid's list:
-Front Grille
-Sunroof
-Door Handles

What color are the door cards? I'd be interested in the fronts.

I would buy your radio (head unit) and possibly the AC control unit. The head unit volume knob in my 350 does not work (steering wheel ones do). Possibly the headlights.....

No collision on this vehicle sadly so it's mine for the keeping

My volume control is going out (volume control feels "slow"). I believe it's a known issue that requires tearing down the stereo, then using electrical contacts cleaner. Some of the buttons have started to chip. Unlike a lot of other W212 chipping buttons, these don't appear to be on AliExpress. Unfortunately the AC control unit has a fairly annoying scratch/crack in it. (FYI, you can easily get replacement chrome trim for the buttons on AliExpress). Headlights are the very base options - but in good condition AFAIK. PM if interested

Where are you located? Shipping larger parts is expensive and can be time consuming.

but I am interested in a few things as I just bought a 2011 wagon with a rebuilt title and some of the front end bits are missing.

I have parted a few cars and regularly sell parts.

if you want to sell them on eBay you need to have the part removed, photographed and ready to box up. It’s real work.

eBay works great for smaller parts. Headlights, taillights, etc.

Body panels, seat sets etc are harder to sell.

Post the car locally on Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp and Craigslist and you will get some bites. But make sure you have a plan for the shell.

Yep, ripped a handful of parts off already just will need to eventually go through and list them all on eBay.

Probably won't go that far, shipping is expensive etc lots of work. Will likely take it to the junk yard after some easy stuff. Will see what they say when there's a half a dozen parts missing but I don't care much. I think parting it out all the way to the shell would be a waste of my time.
