4Matic Transfer Case Fluid Type?

4Matic Transfer Case Fluid Type?
I'm embarrassed to ask this question, however I cannot find a straight answer as some sites seem to confuse transfer case fluid with transmission fluid. For my 2011 E350 4Matic wagon is the correct fluid Dexron III H, ATF 134 or ATF 134 FE (blue) or something else? TIA.

Do you have the 7G or 7G+?

Oops you were asking about transfer case fluid, my bad. Thing is many 7G shares fluid with the transfer case, menaing, they actually run the same fluid at the same time so when you drain it, you drain the transfer case as well. In order to confirm if it is indeed one integrated unit, you need to check WIS.

2011 Mercedes E350 4Matic Wagon
If your are referring to trans fluid, I use the 134 FE on my 2011 S212. To check if your vehicle has A89 option code (requiring blue ATF) for transmission service use LastVin.com and plug in your VIN to verify.

Sorry, not sure how I missed your post and yes you can find the information as mentioned by another forum member on the lastvin or mb.vin site.
Now you need to find out if the unit is separate or integrated.

The transfer case fluid is the automatic transmission fluid.
