W212 camshaft installation issue
I have a had a new camshaft installed and it moves after installation and therefore unable to remove the engine warning light. The car runs fine but the marks don't line up and I have had two new camshafts installed and my mechanic sees it just moves out of alignment. Has anyone had any experience with this issue. One mechanic told this occurs and a spot weld on the flange can fix it in place and another says its a design fault being only pressed on, I need help ..I love the car.

I wouldn't try fixing the parts defects at this point. Simply get your parts exchanged as-is.
Factory parts quality is closely managed for best service.
> Diagnosis needed...
The lightly pressed-on reluctor wheels really should not shift without a cause: active rattling....
Technician will make sure VVT Phasers locks are not rattling loose else the next new pair of camshafts will get wasted just as fast...
Less likely warrantied 2nd time around.
