This is the first time we are seeing some of the E-Class Wagon's rear-end details.

2011 E350 4Matic Estate in Mystic Red
I 'm guessing it will not be available in North America. With Mercedes now making the C-Class wagon (S205) now available in Canada, the high price (very rarely seen here), cheaper SUV options such as the GLE, and unpopularity of the wagon form, Mercedes may go the way of Audi and BMW who stopped selling there upper-end wagons and only sell their compact versions.

Besides, with the C-Class now being classified as a large car, and the E-class now the size of the S-class of the 70s (W116), and the C having gone upmarket, there is little role for it here. People who want to transport things and people buy the cheaper GLE.

I sure hope your wrong. I have had the c class, the m class, and several e's. My current ride is my first Benz wagon and I really think it's great. Drives like a car should but has the cargo carrying ability of the m class.

Hi YYZ I see you have the estate and the GLE. Any comments about how these two vehicles compare.

I don't drive the GLE regularly and it doesn't suit me in terms of the driving dynamics. I am not old enough (yet) to dislike the low seating position of the Estate. I can't fairly compare powertrains and I'm not a fan of diesel, but for sure the telematics on the S212 are really dated now, that's the only thing about the GLE that I prefer (though I am not a fan of the tablet display).

Really looking forward to the S213 but in the meantime I may try a GLE Coupe; having briefly driven one it seems to be much more agile and engaging to drive than the GLE SUV. It's too bad Canada isn't getting the C63 Estate; that would be the perfect choice for me!
