Ordered my E300 today

Just finished placing an order for a 2017 E300 today. Ordered it pretty much loaded, and with the P3 package which is currently delaying production until December.

Deal was 10% off of sticker ($71,000), which 3 dealers in my area offered, so discounts are available even now.

My 2014 E350 was about 12.5% off of sticker. Lease is up on it in December.

Funny... both times the salesman complained 'we're not making ANYTHING ' on this. Makes you wonder how they stay in business.

Im looking for December delivery too. Curious if they gave you an exact date? Also, my fear is that all of a sudden, they will figure out whatever is delaying the cars and production will catch up and the car will be delivered earlier.

Just left the deepest on Saturday. Salesman will probably be entering the order today and then getting me a tentative production date. I'm ok if scheduling clears up and the order comes early.

Lease is up in December so MBFS will either let me out of it early, or extend it month-to-month. Hopefully the former.

Buying this one. Only leased while waiting on the 2017 models to come in. I'm a gadget freak so I wanted the all-digital dashboard. At least I can sit in it and feel like I'm in an Sclass. (With a little imagination).

I think they exaggerate so you feel better about the deal (but 10% is very good so maybe they didn't), either way the margins are slim, salesperson still makes a commission, most of the profit comes from the service visits.

It won't take much imagination, the interior is really fantastic on this car! Congrats!

2017 E CLASS, 4-Matic, P3.
We ordered a 4matic, p-3, with the second screen on July 1st. Dealer looked on his computer today and said the production date was set for 9/1 and it would take three days to build. In the US. We asked him if there was a production delay. Said he hadn't heard anything about one, but would call us back if he did. So far he wasn't called back.

Might sound like a silly question but how did you get the 10% off?

How much of a $ amount or % off you start at, how did you justified that amount to the sale man and how long did it take for y'all to reach 10% off ?

I got my current e350 for 12.5 % off so I started with that percentage. Two other dealers in the area offered 10% right off the bat, so I went in to my preferred dealer with the 12.5% number. Salesman chuckled and said they weren't making anything on that but he went to his manager and came back with the 10% number. I hate haggling and 10% was within $2,000 of my target so I went with it.

Only thing I regret is not holding out for maybe a free maintenance 1 & 2.

Hey, which area are you ordering your car from? I'm curious because I was only able to get 4% off MSRP fully loaded w/o 3d sound at around 81k.

We're thinking about cancelling our order because of the delays (we're really not happy about the way the dealer is handling this). I'm surprised you were promised such a early production time when you just placed your order.

I'm in Central Florida. the 10% off quotes were from dealers in Orlando and Tampa. MSRP on the E300 as optioned was a little over $71,000. P3, leather seats, air suspension, digital instrument panel.

My estimated build date is December, but won't know for sure until the salesman gets finished trying to change a car that's already in the queue.

2017 E CLASS, 4-Matic, P3.
Update on our 7/1, 4matic, p-3, with second screen. Ordered 7/1, said would arrive by 9/1. On 8/22 said we had a build date if 9/1. Called yesterday and said the build date was mid-October.

Only info they had was there was a parts delay. In the US. So hopefully we will have it by mid-November.

Seems like the P3 package is the delay. Looks like mine won't start production until January now.

Anyone know what the P3 delivery issues are?
