Has anyone been able to save their home address in the navigation system under "Home"? If you have would you please provide instructions... Each time I attempt I get a failed error message.

I never put in Home address in case my car ends up in the wrong hands and the last thing I want is the navigation to send them to my front door. Just being conservative and cautious.

That's what I've been trying to do but I keep getting a "fail to save" error message...agghhh. I guess the next time I go to the dealership I'll ask them to look at it.

Try to reset the COMAND system. It will wipe clean all in your COMAND (all the radio station memory will be gone, address book is gone). Re-program to the memory your radio stations, re-program your phones, download the address books. Then go NAVI, select "destination", select "address entry", select "from memory", select "state", select "city", select "street", select # (if you do not select house #, skip this step, it will not show the # of your house), select "save" (you can enter "home" or whatever "nickname" for your home before "save", it will save this address in memory. Repeat the above step if you want more address in your COMAND memory. The RESET will take care of the error, I think (if this is the 2nd hand car), someone already have "home" in the memory (may be enter "home" in memory by mistake), that cause the error, I learned my mistake (enter the street in memory unintentionally). Good luck

Thanks...I contacted the dealership and spoke with the person who gave me my delivery presentation. She stated that I could only save it to Favorites?? The car is brand new...btw when you do save it...does it save it on your "favorites" screen??

My "delivery specialist" (the kid who showed me how all the tech works) said that you can't save as "Home" due to safety concerns. You can call it anything else buy "Home". Castle or HQ works for me!

Thanks...that sounds like what I was told except she never mentioned anything about "safety concerns". I was able to save it in my favorites though...

I set nav points at a major cross roads closest to my destination. One never knows who might access the nav data when the owner is away and the keys are with the vehicle. There are too many ne'er do wells out there to take the risk.

Yes I've been able to save it to HOME. First, manually enter your home address and start navigation. Second, go to Navigation/Previous Destinations, and highlight your address. Click left, and there you can select save as HOME. You'll be taken to your favorites menu where you can place the HOME shortcut in the slot of your choice.
I originally tried doing this via the Address Book and encountered an error. I think there's a parsing bug with the software that doesn't allow for proper mapping of the address fields.
The software is really quite bad. I'm surprised there hasn't been an OTA update yet.

And I found a Youtube video that demonstrates how to do it.

The home address needs to be entered manually (not by voice). The address can then be selected as "Home" which can then be saved as a favorite. The above YouTube video correctly illustrates the process.
