W213 E Class problems

No, in the first time in 17 years of only owning benzes, this is the first time that ive been having such quality control issues. My 2017 C350E also vibrates at speeds above 60 miles but I think that is a problem with its tires and the extra added weight. C350E drives better night and day then the E300 even though its heavier, it has no jitters at its lower speeds and its suspension doesn't hop around like a pickup truck. None of the SUV's ive had in the past or any of the cars were as bad as this E300. its not only my car, Ive had loaner E300 both 2017 and 2018 doing the same thing. its less (vibration) with bigger 19 inch rims and different tires but it still is there.

right, not sure what the issues is - like did they try to make the car sportier? I just dont get it,... I dont think any Benz should be designed this way, nor any other much cheaper cars feel like this at those speeds...
Have you ever tried to fix the issue somehow? i.e dealership visit etc

I had a 2005 E320 and had similar shimmy between 60-70 MPH. I took it to the local dealership (in Palm Beach, Fl.) about 3 times for the issue. After the third visit, the shop supervisor determined that it was the ball joints that were causing the shimmy or vibrating problem. It may be worth pursuing this venue with your MB.

I had some troubles on my previous car also, a 2005 E500 4Matic..
Even changed the brake discs and wheels.
I solved the issue myself by balancing the wheels correctly.

Re-mounted and balanced twice already. Once at MB and once at local auto repair shop... no difference. Im thinking its the way they setup the suspension, but no clue as to why they would?... Wonder if they caught this during R&D or not.

I’m new to MB having driven Audi’s for the past 18 yrs.
I have. 4Matic 2017 plate e220D which I bought used with 10,000 mikes on the clock. Slight brake judder during the first 200 miles of driving but this seems have gone so perhaps the car was sitting idle at the dealer for some time. So far at 12,623 miles- no issues driving at speeds between 0 & 90mph ( in the U.K).

Hi fellow friends @ MBWorld.com, may I check if anyone encounter the similar of mine for several times even though the workshop guys said that there was no error messages.
Make/Model: Mercedes Benz/E200d (W213)
Manufacture/Registration (Year): 2016/2017
Mileage: 25,600 KM
Remark: Car is relatively new, just had its 1st birthday last week.
Background: Check Engine Light (CEL) appeared during driving. Check onboard system message: NIL. Check other readings, and found that under AdBlue, the dashboard showed "Cannot measure fluid level.
Action:
Day 1. Sent the car to workshop. The workshop technician said that there was no system message. They reset the CEL, and happily sent me off. Note: There was about 3/4 of AdBlue in tank.
Day 2. Upon driving home on day 1, the CEL appeared again. Went to fill the AdBlue tank full. Day 2, sent the car to workshop. The workshop technician said again that there was no system message. But he noticed that the sensor circuit was dirty. So they cleaned it and reset the CEL. Again, they sent me off.
Day 3. Upon driving for less than 1 hour, the CEL persistently showed up.
Seeking for Assistance: Any chance if anyone could have a similar problem resolved? Anyone know the root cause of the issue?

I am having the same CEL and a diagnosis shows the nox sensor faulty. Previously no issue with the adblue measurement but recently it’s been showing adblue cannot measure even though I have filled it to the brim. My dash is now showing I have 700km till engine start not possible. However this got restarted twice over 2 days when I start my car and sure enough the adblue measurement was full before malfunctioning and showing cannot measure again after a couple of minutes.
Went to the Mechanic and he said it might be due to a faulty sensor in the adblue tank. Anybody knows what’s the part number for the adblue sensor?
thanks in advance.

MB E300 suspension problems
Hello guys,
As someone already mentioned this car has problems with suspension. E300 amg line, it feels bit unstable on rough road and also I am very unhappy because it feels like sometimes shock absorbers touch the top and it sounds and feels terrible on the big bump. Do someone met this problem already? On normal road car is driving smoothly.
Sorry about my English but I hope you will understand my problem.

Another UK member. I bought my E220 Estate, the MB dealer replaced 3 of the 20" wheels before I took the car, due to cracks! the 4th wheel was just refurbished, badly!
I was suffering from a vibration from the floor of the car around 70mph, seems to of gone, I had a 4 wheel Hunter alignment done. They couldn't get the steering wheel straight, I even looked to confirm wheel is straight before any adjustments, this was done 5 times! The garage I trust, and allow me to have input too, had 4 cars done there before all perfect.
I have been hearing a roughness from the front of the car around 90mph, odd.

Suspension and Alignment woes E400 coupe 😭

I had an issue with my '18 E400 coupe alignment and stability of rear suspension. MB dealership tried to do an alignment and said it couldn't be aligned due to rear suspension damage. Returned car to me with very off center steering wheel. Next day right rear tire was rubbing firewall. They replaced right rear control arm.
3200 miles later steering wheel off center, car pulling to the left, rear hopping side to side over bumps. Trying to bring it in next week. So over this wheel, tire, suspension set up. On 245/40r/19s Amg line, lowered sports suspension.
They blamed the issues on potholes, I think it's because the engineering sucks and this was an early production car. (April 2017).
Is anyone aware of TSBs for suspension on the W213s.

@Tinboyboy
I had same issue. Under half of tank, the sensor could not measure the adblue level. Was fixed under waranty by changing adblue tank.

E 300 AMG-Line diesel-Hybrid - 2021
Can anyone tell me how I would go about sending a complaint to Mercedes? is this through the dealer or directly to MB?
my list of problems (some fixed, many not) is quite long and I want to register an official complaint.
I have been in contact with Mb customer service (for Europe they are based in the Netherlands) but they are truly very sh*te (see in below list),
so not sure if sending a complaint to them will help me...
if you wonder, here's the list from the past 2 years:
- warped brakes (more or less fixed, but sometimes the problem returns, then goes away again....)
- speakers vibrating within doorframe (tried to fix 3 times....)
- grill on top of the dashboard rattling (fixed, problem returned, fixed again)
- slow command (fixed with update)
- Bad (FM) radio reception . tuner/amplifier were changed, but does not fix it.
- certain internet stations no longer working (problem of new HTTPS format when radio only plays HTTP) - still not fixed after six months -
MB customer service says: "the technicians in Stuttgart are working hard on the problem"..
They did suggest updating command (again), which did nothing, except create a new issue:
- people can hardly hear me on hands-free (appointment scheduled next week)
- overal vibration at speeds over 110kms (tested twice, nothing could be found) have scheduled another appointment next week, as it's not something I can just "live with".
- ABC suspension is worthless. software update did nothing. - (where is that "driving on clouds" feeling? feels more like i'm in a F1 car...)
- internet sometimes not connecting (hermes module?) rebooting command does not help, you just have to wait it out...
- every now & then when I get into the car there's a distorted sound coming from the dashboard. the problem is known apparently, but even my latest command software does not solve the problem.
- radar beeping sounds so low that when airco is blowing hard, you can't hear it. (Nothing can be done about it)
plus the radar itself very erratic when backing up whilst turning as well. if the nose moves towards an obstacle the radar sometimes does not beep, even if image gives red warning (no fix)
the above 2 factors make the system far from reliable.
- Mercedes Me only taking away services instead of adding. for instancewhen they took away the possibility to send SEVERAL addresses to the car creating a personal list of POI's.
the POI app is still there, but completely useless now. (let's not go into details about the terribly slow website or their half baked app.)
there are a few other items, but the above alone is too much for a 65k euro car, no..? plus all the wasted time going back to the dealer....

Can anyone help with suspension parts numbers? 2018 E400 Coupe
Hello -
I've had loads of issues with the rear suspension on my 2018 E400 coupe.
It's been at the dealership for a month waiting for backordered suspension parts.
My car is spec'd with the 677 lowered sports suspension with variable damping.
If you go on any mercedes parts website the selective damping shock for MY18 is marked as discontinued.
I finally got my car back and the part # for the shocks they put in is for E class without variable damping.
I'm trying to figure out what part number my car would have shipped with and if they parts they used to replace them differ or are from a lower trim/other market suspension system?
Any help in clarifying this is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Raul, I had by widescreen dash replace under warrenty because of cloudy / milkey screens, mine has panoramic sunroof and "allegedly" direct sunlight / heat coming in can contribute to this
