Yes, the Coupe panel fits Sedan and Estate models as well.

I'm really glad I found this thread because it made me go back and check my build. Sure enough, the trim I chose - Metal Weave - seems to leave the center console in gloss black, whereas Black Ash Wood changes it to match. Just changed my order

Thanks to the OP. Very handy work!

Quick question for Vic Viper,

I just called my AD Parts Department and inquired about the centre console using the part number you provided A238 680 15 03...they confirmed that its for a centre console for W213 but they cannot confirm that it also includes the wood cover for the storage/cup holder compartment.

When you ordered your part did the cup holder cover also come with the center console or did you need to order/use a separate part number for that???

Your help is greatly appreciated.

As the grain in the panels are matched against the ash tray cover they are always included.

Hi Vic Viper

Thanks for confirming...don't want to order it and find out that I need to order another separate piece for the cover.

Forgot to ask one last question...I see how your removed the console and it looks pretty easy. But how did you remove the cover of the cup holder door? Is there any tricks or suggestions to make this easy?

Thanks again for all your help.

Just slide the cover forwards, a small tap might be needed to initially loosen the cover.

trim piece
For those who had mentioned before about the "carbon fibre" trim piece that you had seen on ebay i ordered one to see what it was like, and it is attached.
It doesn't look too bad in situ and fits rather snugly, however, i will be ordering the open pore wood

Update. Dealer changed the black console and wrote that they changed it as a "courtesy" manager never answered about compensation. MBUSA, here I come...

Nice, how much did it cost for parts and fitting, and is it done through the official dealer?

I dont know what the part numbers are as the company ordered it for me - will know those when it comes in from Germany.

The console trim is $895 AUD and the other piece was $210.

Hi Vic. I'm being told in the UK I need to order A238 680 15 03 for the console moulding (£341 + VAT) and also A238 680 58 01 for the lid cover (£61 + VAT). Is that right? If it is, I can't see how that guarantees me a "match" for the grain...

As I mentioned before the lid is included when ordering the panel.
The lid can be ordered as a separate part but then it wont match the grain.

Thanks Vic - so if I go ahead and just order A238 680 15 03 it'll give me all I need?

Changed ours out on Sunday morning; little hassle making sure I remembered where all the plugs were, but other than that, pretty straight forward. Our car was used and the console had scratches all around the edge, so my wife wanted it to look nicer, and newer so I changed it out.

Highly recommend if you want a newer look inside.....

Not sure what happened to my post

I wrote that my part has arrived in the country from Germany and should be delivered to me tomorrow
I do hope that they ordered the correct component for me. I did make mention that it is the black ash open pore wood and not the gloss black.
Here’s hoping.

Just check the part number, if you have ambient lighting and analog clock the part number for open pore black ash is A238 680 15 03

Thanks. Where i ordered it from they said they need the VIN number from a car for the part that I want. So i found a VIN number for a coupe that had the black open pore wood console here in Australia and he ordered part (shortened) 100 for the console and the cover. I did provide them with your part number but they said that’s not how it works (apparently) as i went to a Mercedes spares stockist - the dealer didn’t return my calls. Anyway all will be revealed tomorrow. *fingers and toes*
