Diamond grill on E300
Has anyone here changed out their standard sports grill for a Diamond grill? I saw one on ebay for like 200.... Thought it seemed like a good deal.

I am afraid there is no "one" part number, the OE grill consist out of several parts depending on your cars different options, I can check it out at work tomorrow.

I too work at a MB dealer. I can check with my parts department Tuesday. Thank you for your offer!
Would I have them look up the E43 stuff? From what I can see the E300 does not show it available as an option from the factory.

I would like to know the cost as well
Also I would like to know if anyone knows steps involved in changing this grill? My passion is to work on my cars and would love to be able to do it myself if doesnt involve something excessive like removing bumpers and multiple cladings

So I asked my parts department if the diamond grill from the coupe will fit on the sedan, they had a look, came back to me after 2 hours and said it won't fit, apparently the clips are different??

Try another dealer, the Coupé W238 grill is the very same as the one on the W213 E43 AMG

I actually bought one of those "cheap chinese junk" grills off of ebay and am perfectly happy with it. Before I installed it, I inspected it thoroughly and nothing about it seems like it would break or deteriorate any quicker than the OEM grill that was on there before. It felt solid and well made, and looks great installed. It also doesn't say "AMG" on it, which was a bonus for me since I didn't want to advertise something that my car isn't. If you get the E43 OEM grill, it will have the AMG badging on it. It's been installed for 7 months and ~6K miles with no issues whatsoever. Even after long roads trips and having to scrub bugs off the chrome parts of the grill, no issues at all. That's definitely not a big sample size, and I do completely understand why anyone would be hesitant to purchase a knock-off. I just wanted to give you the experience of someone who's actually done it, and not just a blanket opinion from people that haven't.

I'm not a fan of the normal Sport-look E300...BUT I will say it looks a hell of a lot better with the diamond grill! Too bad it won't illuminate in blue like the concept car did.
