Setting Sport+ mode and steering by default

Hi,

I own a 2017 E300 and am loving it. However, I notice whenever I start my car it is always in comfort mode. It is not a huge deal to switch it but am wondering if I can set the default.

Also, where do you guys recommend I look for wheels/tires? I'm happy with what I have on the car but potentially looking at swapping in black rims and winter tires.

Thanks so much!

Not sure about the tires and wheels. But for the first question you cannot set it by default, but you can go in individual and change the settings in there and whenever you start the car just set it to individual. I do that sometimes and I have mine set to comfort steering, sport engine and auto start/stop off. Im still playing around with it to find the most preferred drive.

If you change it to sport etc, it will stay active for 4 hours after you finish, so when you go back in within this time you will notice it remains in sport

Otherwise there is individual, but then it is still a flick of the switch to change.

The 4 hr thing is a myth. The car always starts in comfort. I think I know the reason too, at least for the E43, on sport plus the idle is higher and first gear is engaged making low speed behavior of the car rather abrupt.

Might be different overseas but in my W213 that’s exactly what happens

Yes, Sport + is rather abrupt i mainly keep mine in sport / comfort depending on the drive and Sport + when i am at the lights :-)

I would really love some of the things in the OS market that we don’t get either like the integrated SIM, the SOS, the ability to program your garage door opener, the Mercedes me app, the remote parking pilot.

Australia's geographic size is just too big and the market size isn't large enough for Mercedes to justify setting up a regional center here for Mercedes Me/mBrace/Mobilo services.

And as for the lack of remote park pilot - it's all thanks to ADRs (which are often outdated). I've a friend who owns a bus and taxi company in Melbourne and the reason why he couldn't import Mercedes Citaro buses over was because they were 4mm wider than the ADR's maximum size.

Must be a US thing, the 4 hour limit is in effect here.
