check engine light turned on (two weeks owner)
Tomorrow will be two weeks of ownership and today the check engine alert is showing on the gauge cluster.
It happened to me twice with my 2011 A45 and both times it was nothing. Logs had been sent to Germany with no response (at least I didn't get one).

Usually a nothing burger. However keep an eye on it since it monitors the entire fuel system. Whatever caused it will leave a code that the dealer can track down. If everything checks out it could be a faulty sensor that threw the code.

Just got out of the garage. They said that they have found a problem. Didn't say what it was. Upgraded the software, reset the alarm and sent me away.
They said that if it'll reoccur, that I'll come back and they'll take the car for a few days.
Very sad for a company that claims to have one of the best quality controls in the world

What was the code? They should have put it in the paperwork. Something as simple as a loose gas cap can set it off. I have an OBDII scanner. A basic one that can pull check engine lights cost around $20 on Amazon so there's really no reason not to have one.

Didn't asked for the code or for the problem.
I said CLAIMS and I said COMPANY. Not the Israeli MB importer (we do not have dealers here). I had an A45 before. I know that the Israeli importer doesn't have such a good service.
