Rentech Stage 2 (+20 HP)
Hey guys, I’m kinda new to tuning and thought of tuning my 2018 E43 (w213) with Renntech’s Stage 2 which will power it up from 396 hp to 416 hp. So my question is: Will it make a big difference? And I would also like to know if it’s gonna make any changes in terms of 0-60 mph.

Wouldn't waste my money on that. All they have done is taken the C43 tune and applied it to the E43. Its too coincidental that when you look at the power output levels of their C43 tune matches almost exactly to the E43. This is what causes the net output on the advertised E43 tune to be only +20, which is pathetic compared to the price.
I went with Eurocharged tune for my E43 as their Cincinnati location is close to me. Very impressed so far.

Could you tell me more about the tune that you made?

I looked at both tuning options AMR and Eurocharged. From what I understand they are both pretty equal in net gains. For my choice it boiled down to which one had a location closer I could go to. I'm not a fan of taking out my own ECU and shipping half way across the country. Plus I like the local support in case any problems arise or I need a reflash back to stock.
In terms of performance, I came from an Audi S6, so I felt the E43 needed a little more torque/horsepower and the Eurocharged tune has made the car feel much more responsive. Great modification in my opinion.

Tuning the E43 engine is a waste, its tuned from the factory! That is why rentech's tune seems so pathetic, there really isnt much to do without negatively affecting the engine. AMG pretty much maxed it out for street application. Im sure some tuner will offer some outrageous tune somewhere, sometime which will either be fake or blow it up, no thanks.

Rentech is one of the most well known and oldest tuners, once it was MB only. If all they can get is 20 hp, I can guarantee that is as good as it gets.

Would you guys recommend the AMR +100hp tune? I’m kinda new to tuning but if the AMR tune has a warranty, then I guess it’ll be okay. For now I’m just gonna wait a little longer. Hopefully a better tune gets released.
