Vanishing radio presets

Vanishing radio presets
Has this happened to anyone else? Intermittently my radio presets disappear.
First time it happened 6 months ago, a few SiriusXM satellite radio stations vanished. I put them back no problem.
Second time it happened a few weeks ago when I got the car back from the dealership after B service, all the FM HD radio stations (about a dozen) disappeared. I added them back.
Third time it happened was today when I got the car back from the dealership after a tire replacement (nail damage), and nearly all the FM HD radio stations and SiriusXM preset station were gone. And the presets that were left were a random mix of stations that I had never put on the list and don't even listen to. Weird! Anyway, I cleared the preset list and added mine back. The SiriusXM presets are fine, but the thumbnail graphics for the FM HD radio stations have all disappeared. Weird!
Is it the software? Is there an update I need to do? Am I doing something wrong? Did the dealership do something inadvertently?

omg, yes while I have never had my FM stations erased, my sat radio presets have been removed twice on me. However, I noticed it coincided with my trial ending the first time, and second time, when a preview (where the sat is available for a week or so) ended as well.

My SiriusXM presets disappeared when my subscription ended. I intended to renew, but given the pain of dealing with SiriusXM in general, plus the (admittedly minor) annoyance of having to re-input the presets, I have rediscovered the joys of terrestrial radio...

The trouble I have with terrestrial radio is the lack of variety. In my major metro area there are no jazz stations or classical stations. Last Autumn I received an offer from SiriusXM for 12 months of All Access for $60. They were easy to deal with via their web page. Three clicks, enter billing info and that was it. My account wasn't charged until the free trial ended.

ua549, you are totally right - when they come at me with the half price offer, I will jump on it. They've been playing hardball for longer than usual this time - it used to take one phone call to get an offer like that.

Command wouldn’t hold my presets for more than a few weeks at a time; Mercedes updated the software and that problem disappeared. (I took delivery in August 2016; the software update that fixed the problem was early in 2017. Presets have been stable since then.)

I've been getting these $5/month offers for over a year now. 3 variations ... $25/5 months, $30/6 months, and $60/year (I guess they think I can't multiply). If you let your active/trial subscription end and don't renew, they'll find you quickly enough ... usually once every 7-10 days.
