My 2018 with P2 had version 01.70.01.00 and i just had it updated to 03.76.00.10. Anyone know what the differences are or what the update did? are their release notes anywhere?

To access dealer menu, it's important to go to "vehicle" and hold down Command button for 10 seconds to enter dealer mode. When finished accessing settings in dealer menu, scroll down to "End", click control knob again to exit dealer mode.

one major change is that carplay works simultaneous now with rest of system
and you no longer have to connect your phone each time you want to stream from phone to car via bluetooth.
also system is MUCH faster.
new camera view for front tires (actually worse than before)
some changes in navigation system (easier to operate some functions)
I think that's about it.

if carplay was on, nothing else was working (car's media, gps etc)
and i had to manuallyl connect phone evey time i wanted to stream (for calls was always conencted of course)

It's not official. They do all sorts of retrofits. But the software update is not for the ambi lights, it's for all the system.
I think that the new official version does that, that's why i asked here if someone has any updates or a recent software update
at the Mercedes dealer.

Mine is an early UK 2016 with the dual 12" display. Got mine updated yesterday as was having problems with maps/gps and its now 03.76.00.10.
Also for people who have dual screens, when my sunroof opened and the sun hit the left dual screen (nav screen) it used to go white (bleed) due to the heat. Anyway got that changed under warranty now its perfect as its a later version of screen! So if you have the same prob get it checked out

Just had mine updated to version 4.xxx
Hi I've just had my software updated to version 4.xxxx I can't recall the exact number I'll take a photo later.
I was on version 00.16.00.01 really old on my April 2016 registered car.
The software is broadly the same, slightly larger font, consumption graph looks nicer. Internal lights settings look different.
It is much faster than my original version.
But android auto is still not using full screen ☹.
And now buttons like media and navi don't work with android auto.

I scheduled an oil change for my E300 Luxury and I added a note also to updated the COMAND and man navigation version. Dealer replied back saying that it was done at the last service....which was 12 months ago. I think we had 2 version updates come up since then. A little frustrating as to the dealer has to come back and seems sort of like fighting me on it. Clearly they can run the VIN see what version they updated it to, and then also run a check on the current version. And then potentially come back. Oh youre in luck we have an update ready. We will see what they say as the service day comes.

I finally went from Version 0.61 to 03.76.00 in March. Thanks to Egonvdv's advice. System boots faster on start up, runs faster all the time, and the enhancements to graphics, icons, fonts, are well worth it. The Navigation also tells me now the upcoming next junction and manoeuvre required. Plenty of other improvements, and I haven't found any problems to date. Just push them and tell them you are having major problems with the navigation freezing....

Yes, I too just had my system updated today. Some noticeable changes that took away some of the annoying portions of some of the menu options and screens. One noticeable annoying change is the extension of both the top and bottom information bars across the entire screen. This has totally changed the integrity of the look of the screen as it has made the small nav screen much smaller...
On another note, I did notice a change to the interior ambient light setting menu, but it has not introduced the multi-color setting for my car which is a 17 E300. I wish they would have, that definitely is a solid option to have. Hopefully soon...
