To subscribe to SiriusXM go to their website and setup an account. Phone them and ask about plans. Indicate that they seem very expensive. Ask about 12 for 60. That's five bucks per month. Sometimes they'll go a bit lower, but not often.

IIRC the cellular stuff is now handled by AT&T. rbrylaw would know.

Yes, in-car internet on the 2019 E Class is now handled exclusively via a monthly subscription through AT&T. As an AT&T customer, I pay $20/month for data. Just contact AT&T In Car Services Team and they'll get you all set up.

You were just lucky on your SiriusXM. They aren't very swift at turning things off once a trial ends. UA549 is right about negotiating with them. I have to threaten to end my subscription on both cars once a year, in order to get a lower yearly price. It's a dumb game we have to play, but a game we have to play non-the-less.

Yeah, they always have 6 months for $30 and occasionally do 12 months for $60. Always make a note to cancel on your calendar before it ends otherwise it kicks back up to regular price. I have them on both cars. I always tell them with a straight face (voice) that it's too expensive when I have bluetooth, CD players and the radio to listen to. They also just upgraded their accounts so that you can just log on and get free online streaming.

Live traffic is no longer Sirius either. I had it on my C63 but when I switched my plan to the E63, Sirius refunded the live traffic portion of my prepaid fees.

I thought the live traffic was for 5 years? Sometimes I don’t acquire the 4G signal nor live traffic. I assume they are related to each other. Seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

HEY! Thank you for this. I had absolutely no idea I had free streaming services through SiriusXM on the app for my iPhone or iPad. It wasn't that easy to figure it out, but going to my account management page revealed two streaming service available because I have two cars, both with SiriusXM service. I thought all I'd have to do was sign into the app using my user name and password. NOPE. Nadda. You have to go into account management, find the streaming service account. Get the User ID (which you can change to something you can remember) and choose a new password. Once I figured that out, I was able to create two streaming accounts for free and now use them on our iOS based devices.

I see Sirius says I should also be able to create Pandora based stations on the App much I would on the Pandora App. If this is correct which I still need to learn more about, I'm not sure I will need to continue paying for Pandora since SiriusXM bought them about a year ago. I need to determine if the SiriusXM app appears now on Apple Car Play. If it does, this in theory should work. If the App doesn't appear in Apple Car Play, then I'll still need to pay for Pandora as I often listen to Pandora in my car.

I have now been able to transfer all my personal Pandora stations over to the SiriusXM App for both cars. It turns out if you want to create custom stations, you must have the Sirius All Access Pass. For some odd reason, one car was on All Access and the other car wasn't. So I had to pay to upgrade the car not on All Access to that level. But it was still less than having the premium family Pandora plan, so ultimately, I saved money. And I found out the SiriusXM App is on the Apple CarPlay screen. So I have terminated Pandora and I have all the stations I listen to in one convenient place!

As a bonus, having been a long time Pandora listener (even with Pandora One, the supposed highest bit-rate), when I chose the highest rate from the SiriusXM app, the sound is significantly better. Of course it comes with a warning that if you use this rate via cellular, you'll blow through data quickly. But I ONLY stream music via Wifi, so choosing the highest rate isn't an issue in that regard.

You're welcome. The free streaming is pretty recent. Used to have to pay for it so I never bothered. But it's nice that they have it for free now. Got to renew mine again soon. I just find it funny when I tell them it's too expensive for both my Mercedes and they're well trained to not say anything. To be fair, I can go days without listening to it so I don't feel bad only paying $5 a month for it.

For me the free streaming isn't what was important. Since Pandora and SiriusXM became the same company, I was paying for both services. What I love about Pandora is being to create stations based on a genre or artist and it curates them into a channel. I wouldn't likely have bothered with the free streaming if I couldn't get my Pandora channels. Now I have Sirius and Pandora all rolled into one App. I do though really appreciate you posting about this. It's not like Sirius has been reaching out to their customers telling them have something free they can get.

You can only create custom Pandora Channels in the streaming app if you pay for Sirius All Access on your account. If you don't pay for All Access, you'll need to upgrade your service with SiriusXM. It does cost more, OF COURSE, but to me was worth it and ultimately cost less than paying for Pandora One and Sirius at the same time.

If using the search button you can't add say, "Enya" as an artist and save it to favorites, you need to contact SiriusXM directly and ask them to open that feature on your App.

Channel 3 is the Pandora Now channel on SiriusXM. It just plays the top songs from various genres across the network on this channel. It is NOT a custom Pandora channel for users.

You have to do that online or in the app.

I have problems with my in car wifi since I bought my car. Set up says to go to connectivity menu and select "set up hotspot" but my menu doesn't even have that option. Is that on yours?

OK......this is the E Class forum. And you didn't say what country you are located in? Did you ask your dealer to help you set up internet services on your coupe? That should have been part of the delivery service the day you took the car from the dealer lot.

Yes of course. US. I am now just looking for information. Menu shouldn't be that different. It has not worked since I received car in October 2018. So just wondering if my menu is flawed in some way. The video Mercedes provided on how to activate wifi services is not class specific, but used across all Mercedes vehicles.

I can't really advise since I don't have a C Class. I would assume (but you know what they say about assume) that AT&T might also be the provider of internet service for the C Class, but I don't know if that's true or not. I really do recommend you either go to the C Class forum or contact your dealer for real guidance on connected services for your car.

Thanks anyway. Perhaps some else can help. Just wanted an answer regarding what the menu option is in your menu. Have posted to C class. Have contacted AT&T. Have reached out to my dealer. Just looking for an answer regarding menu option and whether yours has the option "set up hotspot". Not asking about C class versus E class here. Asking about your cars menu. Really that simple.

WHY won't you ask in the forum specifically filled with owners of the model car you own?
