FYI the W213 model was produced from 2016 to the present.
The US has a bad habit of setting model years in the future sometimes by 8-10 months of when vehicles are actually produced and sold.
W212 ends in 2016 and W213 starts in 2016.... both cars are produced that year. If you own a W213(or know how it looks) then you can see that OPs car is clearly a W212

What defines a model is when MB decides to change over. What year it was produced is irrelevant. Acura is selling a 2022 mdx. Actually surprised the OP didn’t know that.
