Full Screen Map on instrument cluster. MBUX
While test driving the E class a few months ago I was able to scroll down and select the full screen option while in the navigation menu of the instrument cluster. I really liked this view since it mirrors the Audi Virtual cockpit, minus the google street view, of course.
For some reason this is not showing up as an option on my car. I’m only seeing two options when I use the selector button on the steering wheel, for the mini map mode and the recent destination tab. I’ve attached photos from the test drive car, and from my own. Already tried hard resetting the MBUX system. Interestingly I’m able to use the full screen mode in other modes such as in assistance or trip.
From the test drive car.
From my car. Only seeing two options without the full screen option
There's 3 tiers of MBUX: Low, Mid, High
Full screen nav only works with High. Only surefire way to ensure your car gets it is to option the AR navigation.

You probably have 548 (Mid) or 545 (Low).

I'm thinking MBUX548 uses Reilly Px while MBUX 549 USES PARKER 128 both from Nvidia
here's a good paragraph
"In terms of computing power, Mercedes-Benz is once again lagging behind the MBUX of the 2nd generation of the current S-Class. Where the A-Class still used Nvidia’s “Reilly PX” and “Parker 128” as versions of the Tegra X2, the S-Class uses a Xavier-SoC with six Carmel CPU cores, Volta graphics unit and 16 GB of RAM . The MBUX Hyperscreen in the EQS uses the Xavier full expansion with eight Carmel CPU cores and more powerful Volta GPU, which comes in 512 instead of 384 CUDA cores distributed over four TPCs. In addition, Mercedes-Benz has expanded the working memory from 16 to 24 GB. ComputerBase has obtained information about this article from Mercedes-Benz under NDA. The only provision was the earliest possible publication date. "
BTW Xavier or Pegasus is where it's at as u can ugrade hardware like it was pc or its supposed be fro. My understanding. It's possible Xavier is also upgradable as they upgraded ram wonder if person wanted add faster more if they could.. anyone know I need a sdk developer expert that wouldn't be I. Breach contract by discussing this that last part will be tough as this is the cutting edge future and companies tend to protect it with NDA etc or whatever they call
