Tire Pressure
Good morning all. New member, just bought a 2018 S213 last Friday. I'm curious about what tire pressure you all run. This car has the 19" AMG wheel package and the B pillar sticker recommends 42 F and 48 R. The car came from the dealer with about 5 lbs. less on each corner and I didn't change it on the trip home. Noticed what the TPMS readings were, but they seemed similar to other cars we have so was surprised at what seems like very high recommended pressures. I boosted them up to the recommended pressures this morning and we'll see how it drives. Might help the mileage a tad; probably a firmer ride.
In any event, what are your thoughts and experiences on this model? Thanks in anticipation.

There are numerous threads on this subject: the general consensus is to use the psi recommend on the fuel filler cap rather than on the door hinge. The one on fuel filler cap is specific to your model.
Having said that I put in 10% more than recommended: 35 psi instead of 33 psi: I find the handling and ride fine and the extra psi improves my gas mpg and tread life. However, I have the standard 18" wheels and not the 19" AMG wheels. Putting in extra psi in the 19" wheels may make the ride too harsh.
Just my $.02 and hopes this helps.

I was not aware of the fuel filler label. Wonder why there is such a big delta between the two stickers? In any event, I'm going to back off to something near the 35/35 the filler cap recommends for normal loads. Thanks for your comment!

On my 2019 E450 on the filler for normal load is 33/33, maximum load 35/40. On the door post, maximum load is 39/45.
As I posted for normal driving I use 35/35.
Door tag pressures are related to GWVR and tire rating (MAX capacity)... whereas the filler door usually has ratings for nominal load, max load and high speed. Follow the filler door.
In my 2018 the labels only appear to be different, but the pressures are the same after applying the fine print. One must take into account the vehicle load and the speed both of which require added pressure to what is on the label. One label includes added pressure while the other doesn't. There are several threads that discuss the matter.
