2019 E-450 Ring Tone
Sorry if this has been asked before, but the search function didn't show anything. How do you change the ring tone on a 2019 E-450 from the terrible bell sound to something more pleasant? The manual doesn't tell me much. TYIA.

Depends. What device you have? It is different for both iOS and Android. Depending on your phone, it may be under Bluetooth settings, "Advanced" and there is something called Ringtone sync.
Please see image:

iOS wise, you could try setting a bluetooth sound profile:

Once you have bluetooth sync enabled, it will then use the ringtone you set on your phone instead of the default one from your Mercedes.

If you have an iOS device and the bluetooth sound profile doesn't work for you then you might want to consider updating your software version. The latest currently is iOS 15 for example.

It is supposed to be on your phone though, you don't need to set it in your car. May I know what phone you have, the settings on each Android phone (which you stated that you have) may vary slightly across phone manufacturers.

Galaxy S7. However, the ring tone on my phone is fine. The car does not seem to pick it up, but uses a totally different tone.

I see. So your device is running Android Oreo (that is, if you updated to the latest version. You can check which version you are running in the about device section on your phone, if it says Android 6.0 you are running Android Marshmallow, Android 7.0 you are running Android Nougat. The instructions may vary slightly depending on the version of software your phone is running.
Here are the steps to enable this feature on Android 8.0 Oreo:
1. Go to your phone's settings.
2. Head over to "Connections"
3. Tap the word "Bluetooth" to view more Bluetooth settings, also keep it toggled on.
4. Look for 3 horizontal dots near the top (right below the status bar), this is where the left arrow (to go back) the word "Bluetooth" and the "Scan" or "Stop" button is (depending on the state). The 3 horizontal dots are right after the "Scan" or "Stop" button
5. Tap those 3 dots and you will see the following settings: Dual Audio, Media volume sync, Phone ringtone sync, Bluetooth control history and Contact us.
6. What you want to configure is the "Phone ringtone sync" setting, tap it.
7. Once you are in, toggle the feature on.
8. You are all set
Hope this helps.

SUCCESS!!! Here's what the issue was. My phone was running Android 9.0. When I tried to enable Ring Tone Sync I was prompted that in order to use the sync feature I had to uninstall Android Auto. After doing this all is OK. Thanks so much W205C43PFL for your help and patience.
