Remote Parking Pilot in any country
Hello fellow Mercedes owners.
I’ve got a 2017 w213 equipped with remote parking pilot system which the dealer bought from Germany. Unfortunately - the feature is prohibited in my country. Is there a way I could bypass or trick the system into thinking it’s in any other country that allows this geature to be used?

In France remote parking is no longer available, unless you have the new C or S which are at automated level 3

Thanks for the posts. I’m aware of the situation but anybody found a solution?
i did fond a setting in Mercedes’ me website to change country of registration. I was considering whether that would work since my initial set up required a proof of residency.

Naw, I'm sure it's gotta rely on GPS so it would know your physical location. I'm sure they have all the bases covered. From my understanding of people who had the remote parking assist working in europe it really was not all that good either. I don't even use the in car parking feature as it takes so long and I don't have the patience, to me it always kinda just seemed like a useless gimmick.

i agree. the car can only park when there's a lot of space.
so it's easy to park yourself . in tight spaces it won't work.
the remote park is nice if you have a very narrow garage;
you park in front, get out, and then enter the car with your phone.
other than that it's pretty usueless

What I thought it would be good for is I need the door open wide to get a wheelchair in and out every time and sometimes people park right next to my drivers door and I can’t get in the car. I figured with the remote parking assist I could have the car back out of the spot. Oh well. Sounded good when I saw it was suppose to come out in 2017.
