Musway M12 Class-D channels and an integrated 16-channel DSP amplifier with Bluetooth adapter for full cell phone control

Musway is particularly known for building elegant and well-thought-out DSP amplifiers that can be controlled via a smartphone app and beautiful designs. The new M12 joins this tradition with an impressive number of 12 Class-D channels and an integrated 16-channel DSP. It appeals to those hi-fi fans who want to be able to individually tune their complex loudspeaker system in the vehicle for the best possible playback and at the same time be able to control it easily without complex cabling or the installation of several devices.

For optimal sound tuning, a high-quality input section is required, which receives the audio signals from the source. The M12 therefore has a large number of low-level and high-level input connections. There are not only 6 pairs of RCA inputs and an AUX input, but also 12 pairs of high-level inputs that can pick up signals from the speakers. They can withstand a very high load with 20 volts RMS and are used when a complex factory system is already installed in the vehicle. Of course, the high level signals fed in are protected with EPS so that no errors occur in the diagnostic system. An optical PCM input with 192 kHz and 24 bit is available “On Top” for hi-fi connoisseurs. The optional BTS-HD dongle enables HD audio streaming via aptX codecs (576 kBits, 24 bit, 48 kHz).

While the high-end processor supplies the 12 channels internally, the DSP also provides 4 freely configurable RCA preamp outputs. These can be assigned to external purposes and open up many expansion options. This means that further amplifiers can be included in the DSP performance, for example powerful mono amplifiers that are better suited for controlling subwoofers, for example. The Musway monoblocks ONE600 or ONE1000 are particularly suitable for this. The woofers under the seats or in the footwell, which are often installed in a twin pack at BMW or Mercedes, can be optimally fired with it.

The heart of the M12 is the ADAU1452 processor from Analog Devices®, which is highly valued by audiophile connoisseurs. With the easy-to-use PC software, it can be configured perfectly and in real time via USB. With the optional BTA2 dongle, the DSP can also be controlled with the new "Tunest" app using iOS or Android smartphones (see app store).

• Intelligent High Level Input (Error Protection System)

• Start-Stop ready, Auto Turn-On

• Burr-Brown converters (PCM3168A) and Analog Devices DSP (ADAU1466)

• Dual 64bit, 295 MHz DSP technology, controllable via new V3 PC software or V3 App

• Soft-Clipping (power attenuation) in 2 Ohm operation

• Signal-to-noise Ratio ≥95dB

• Frequency Response 15 Hz – 22 kHz (-3dB)

• THD ≤0,05% (1 kHz, 4Ω, 90% Power)

• Separately controllable input sensitivity (Channel 1-6, Channel 7-12, AUX), Clipping LEDs

• External Bluetooth® USB-Dongles (BTS & BTA2) for Audio Streaming & App Control (optional)

• Digital remote control (DRC1) with OLED display for controlling various DSP functions (optional)

Very very nice upgrades… I like everything, except the red styling. Keep the red calipers - get rid of the decals and switch aloygators to ones that matches the rim color(then it actually looks like you get an inch more in rim size)

Xtra custom

this is a lot of super nicely executed mods... almost unbelievable it is possible

Where did you find the ways to implement these mods ? Do you have a source or a thread to work out all this magic?

Thank you. All hardware are done by myself except for the window tint and software done remotely. I purchased a MB type diagnostic tool and have a contact in Singapore who has a professional Automotive modification business. I can assist you with instructions and information on whatever needed. Please contact directly in the messaging here.

Front center and front sides are all OEM, rear is aftermarket because not available OEM. All wires and modules to integrate are aftermarket

Yep, I have received many many compliments as well too. Just like I would never have a black car or night package 😆. That’s why we all if and when possible personalize to our liking. Thought of changing the color of the AlloyGator to a gunmetal gray as well. The lip of the rims are polished aluminum so would be off for the lip but matches the spokes.

There are a couple different vendors that advertise their services on this forum that does the coding for multi-color led lighting. Some will sell you the hardware needed, or point you where to do so and there is one that will rent it. Without the hardware to connect to your computer and car, the coding cannot be performed.

The vents except for 2 rear ones are OEM on my car, there’s the less expensive aftermarket options out there as well. Tried to direct message you, however it said you were either not allowed or not accepting any. If you check your profile and can send a direct message I can provide more information I’m not allowed to mention here.

What’s the cheapest route I can take to just get the ambient lighting menu, I know I need a software update but dealers in my area won’t do it, I saw benzNinjas website and It seems like a bit much just to get a updated menu. I’m unsure why my account won’t take messages but I appreciate the response

No dealer will do it, has to be a specialist vendor. I have not seen any company locally with their own hardware that provides this service. So with that said, you’ll either need to purchase your own or rent. I personally purchased my hardware for $600 because I knew I would be using it for multiple software upgrades and additional features. No cheap options getting it done. I have spent thousands on all my software upgrades and new features. My next venture is MBUX interface and software upgrades. That’s quite expensive and technical challenging for changing the hardware.

I really appreciate the insight . And apologies for asking so many questions, I’m looking into buying the hardware since it seems like the best option. Did you have to buy the hardware then pay someone to code it or you did it yourself. And is there any hardware you recommend
