2017 E300 No Power At All
Car not turning on, no power at all
took it to dealership they said it was the battery so I replaced the battery and it was still the same all the light codes are going off
start engine
leave car running… but it’s not turning on
Red light ..stop vehicle
Comand system saying start engine or it’s going to turn off
took the battery out and put the jump cables on the positive and negative wires and car was working fine
I have a video not sure how to post it any idea what’s going on this hasn’t happened before

If it jumps quickly and works, and the battery being changed didn't make any difference, I agree with The G Man that your charging system has a problem. The mild hybrid system complicates things for me. But, whatever component is supposed to charge the battery isn't doing it.

Where is the charging system located
benz said due to the fact that the jumper box on the cables got the car starting without the battery means that the new battery was also bad

The alternator is usually in the front of the engine driven by a belt. The new battery could be bad or just drain down from not being charge properly. Also, ask a mechanic to check out your charging system.

yes they came out it’s the alternator that needs to be replaced man this sucks
anyone know part number for 2017 and can I buy one off ebay will a 2019 or 2020 work in a 2017
