E/W214: Problems with Software
Of note, my wife had a 2024 GLC and all it's screens intermittently malfunctioned. Again the car's safety features were inoperative.
Two electronics/software problems in two models. This is not a coincidence.
In 1990 I had a Jag XJ8 (new) that had a low speed vibration that the dealer couldn't fix (it was in the shop 10 times) and I took Jaguar to court and they reimbursed me $10,000, or option to replace the car.
Started having problems with the MBUX system where left screen froze, then middle screen froze and kept rebooting to MBUSA logo.
I brought back to the dealer and they checked it out and said they loaded some software.
Gave me the car back and on way driving home it happened again. Car i
Now dealer is telling me this is a problem with all the new E class and Mercedes Germany is telling them its about 3/4 months till there is a fix.
I can't believe that every E350 in the US has this problem as every dealer has them in inventory and is selling them.
I wonder if anyone out there has had this problem with a new E class
The only reason I ask is that my car suffered from the screen lockup and got updated software 2 weeks ago which appears to have fixed that problem.. However my car now has a problem where the 12v battery is being discharged and the car is back at the dealer.. again.
