Problem Adding Sirius Channels To Favorites
Had the same problem with Sirius favorites - was first working when I got vehicle, then no longer worked. Dealer told me was fixed for E 2025.
I had to push dealer REALLY hard - but they fixed it after having it for a week. I know they downloaded software and I can only assume that was the fix. The service rep is checking on what the actual fix was; I’ll follow-up when I know the fix.
SXMFavorites does not show up as a source so the list is not accessible. Also, on the GLC300 with Radio selected in the cluster display you can press OK and it lists the sources and lets you change the source from the steering wheel. This does not work on he E350.
Anyone else run into this problem? Asked the dealer but they were less than helpful. Is this working correctly for anyone?
Excuse the fingerprints - didn't clean screen before taking pictures

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
It was a software update, but she says she is unable to provide me with any more information

Very sorry I can't provide the exact software update...this was done at MANHATTAN MB in NYC -- maybe if your service dept contacts Manhattan MB, they will be more forthcoming.

I see above that someone recommended a software update to E265.1-5545 may be the fix! When I got to the dealership I’m going to require this before purchasing.
did anyone else have issues with the favorites star on the steering wheel only to a call list??? It doesn’t take me to favorites. Instead I have to click on the main screen and go thru 3 touches before I can get to my favorites??? Anyone else? Does the software fix this too?
updating to say: this is my first potential MB… coming from BMW.

If I am correct, then in my experience it's not likely to be fixed soon. It often takes much more process to change the design than to fix a defect. The product manager has to be aware of customer complaints and then agree that the functionality should be changed for all customers. Only then will a software engineer get a ticket to make a change.
Has anyone got positive confirmation that MB intends to change favorites to include all favorites and not just contacts?

Both current cars run MBUX Version 2 which introduced the zero layer. The number of differences between the software on the two cars is extensive. Very useful features on the GLC 300 do not exist in the E350. For example, on the GLC 300 if you go to the settings menu, then system, then the Hey Mercedes settings you sill see something that says direct commands with an info circle. If you press that you will see a list of commands that you say without saying Hey Mercedes first. It includes things like next station, previous station, music louder, music quieter, etc. On the GLC next station gives you the next favorite station. Really useful feature that I use on the GLC because it is even less distraction than using the scroll buttons. If you go to this menu item on the E350 it doesn't have direct commands. Why?
My opinion: It seems like they have a different external groups for for each class and there is no common design criteria which is absurd. Why should the GLC have great features that are not in the E350? I should mention that the GLC has not had a software update since 12/31/22. I've driven loaner GLC's when I've had mine in for service and they have the same problems as the E350. I think they've held off on updates to the GLC since the newer software introduced these problems.
I got a software update yesterday on the E350 to E265.1-5545 that installed late in the day. I didn't drive the car until this morning. In going through things I can't see that they fixed any of the bugs that I'm having or added any of the missing features that are in the GLC. I've had the E350 since March so ample time to correct this but for whatever reason Mercedes has chosen not to.
See this video posted 2 months ago and go to the 11:00 mark to see about direct commands.

The direct commands work in the W214 but there is not a list easily obtainable of which ones are available. Next track, for example works without the wake word even when there are more than one occupant or configured to always require a wake word. Other commands work as well but I have only tried a few myself. It would be nice to have a list easily accessible in the car.
