Thanks for the reply. I bought mine in early November and discovered the issue after I was already home with the car. They did a software update but it did not work. Hopefully a newer software update will do the trick. Glad to know it worked for you.
The s/w version I got with the update was E270.1-5683
I cannot believe MB. These cars are packed with more technology than a sci-fi movie, and they advertise themselves as the crème de la crème of car companies. Yet here I am, trying to store satellite stations in my Favorites, and it's like asking a cat to fetch a ball—impossible! It's like paying for a three-course gourmet dinner at a Michelin-star restaurant and getting a TV dinner instead. I mean, I didn't sign up for Microwave Meals on Wheels;

By the way, they still don't have a next track button : )
2024 E350 here. First time posting hopefully I’ve done the quote correctly.
Had the same problem with Sirius favorites - was first working when I got vehicle, then no longer worked. Dealer told me was fixed for E 2025.
I had to push dealer REALLY hard - but they fixed it after having it for a week. I know they downloaded software and I can only assume that was the fix. The service rep is checking on what the actual fix was; I’ll follow-up when I know the fix.

On my wife's 2023 GLC300 which has the same newer version of MBUX (i.e., zero layer, etc.) Sirius channels go to Favorites as expected.
SXMFavorites does not show up as a source so the list is not accessible. Also, on the GLC300 with Radio selected in the cluster display you can press OK and it lists the sources and lets you change the source from the steering wheel. This does not work on he E350.
Anyone else run into this problem? Asked the dealer but they were less than helpful. Is this working correctly for anyone?
Excuse the fingerprints - didn't clean screen before taking pictures

PS when I say I pushed the dealer hard, I told him it was currently dangerous to change Sirius favorites without the carousel - and I expected this would be given high priority up to management in Germany if needed. Frankly I didn’t expect a solution so quickly because software revision is such a complicated process.

After reading the posts, I decided to take my car to the dealership. I showed them the “issue”. They stared at it like it had just spoken in ancient Sumerian. If anyone has a solution, please post a how-to-fix guide. I’m convinced many would be appreciative, including my technicians. They might even nominate you for the next Nobel Prize in “Automotive Solving!” Who knew fixing MB software glitches would come with such a dramatic twist?

So I asked the service manager how exactly was the SIRIUS FAVORITES issue solved.
It was a software update, but she says she is unable to provide me with any more information
Very sorry I can't provide the exact software update...this was done at MANHATTAN MB in NYC -- maybe if your service dept contacts Manhattan MB, they will be more forthcoming.

This is very helpful, I will call my guys ASAP with this information. Thanks

I am sure I am not the only one who watches instructional "how to" videos on YouTube. You must do so because this new MB technology has so many hidden gems. Having said this, as a former Audi user, I can't help but wonder why Mercedes-Benz turned car ownership into a game of “The Amazing Race.” Do I really need to perform a three-step dance routine for each AC function or Music playback routine? If your key loses its batteries, to start the engine, you have to "Hold the up button, honk twice, press the brakes for 3 seconds." At this rate, I might as well be auditioning for a reality show! I swear, the instructions I see out there make me feel like I’m deciphering an ancient scroll: “Press the menu button for 5 seconds, blinkers to the right, and voilà, the windshield wipers work again!” Whatever happened to the good old days when you just turned a key and said, “Vroom”? God, I miss my Audi—it was more like a loyal dog; this Mercedes feels like a cat that wants you to earn its affection through a complex series of hoops!
I’m on a long weekend test drive and everything you all are saying still exists on the 2025 model made recently. It’s outright dangerous and I’m concerned to purchase without a fix.
I see above that someone recommended a software update to E265.1-5545 may be the fix! When I got to the dealership I’m going to require this before purchasing.
did anyone else have issues with the favorites star on the steering wheel only to a call list??? It doesn’t take me to favorites. Instead I have to click on the main screen and go thru 3 touches before I can get to my favorites??? Anyone else? Does the software fix this too?
updating to say: this is my first potential MB… coming from BMW.

I hate to tell you that this is my Software Version, and it does not have the fix. I tried contacting MB of Manhattan via phone and email, but so far, there have been no responses. I know it was a holiday week, but I hope to fix this soon.

Yikes! This is so disappointing. Truly. I think I may not purchase if this is the case. And I'm assuming this isn't just the 350e but all GLCs...

According to my owners manual (2025 GLC), the star button is only for telephone stuff. But we over in X254 and W206 have the infuriating and unsafe Sirius favorites issues too. If they would just show up in the Zero Layer tile under "Favorites"....but that would make waaaay too much sense.
So there is no way to move thru your favorites from the steering wheel...? Because using the swipe toggle on the right doesn't allow you to go thru favorites at all. Like this is a deal breaker for me! And i apologize I thought I was posting in the GLC group.

It is up to you; while this is annoying and a software flaw, it is only a matter of time before it gets fixed. The car is still phenomenal, and I would rather listen to engine noise that sounds like a symphony.
I had my SW update, E270-1-5603, which they said would solve the issue of favorites going lost. Unfortunately, it still did not combine the Sirius favorites and FM favorites. I had a 2025 GLE loaner and tried setting up favorites and it combined all favorites and made it very easy to go back and forth between FM and Sirius. Hopefully, they will address this sooner rather than later.
I really do not think the lack of combined favorites is a bug. I beliieve it's a design decision meaning that was the intended behavior when writing the software. It could be that the product manager included that behavior in the functional design specifications. If not, then a software engineer may have been left to decide. Either way, it's a terrible design.
If I am correct, then in my experience it's not likely to be fixed soon. It often takes much more process to change the design than to fix a defect. The product manager has to be aware of customer complaints and then agree that the functionality should be changed for all customers. Only then will a software engineer get a ticket to make a change.
Has anyone got positive confirmation that MB intends to change favorites to include all favorites and not just contacts?
Wolf, I agree with you. I think it would be great if there was a way users like us could provide input about design issues like this. What I could not determine is if the version of MBUX (not the SW version), in the 2025 GLE is the same as we have in the W214. The GLE has SW version RL_NTG7_E504.304_24133AC3 and my updated SW is E270.1-5683, which leads me to believe they are different even though the screens looked very similar. My dealer did tell me that SW development and Mercedes me conect are both handled by 3rd party firms. Seems logical, but I haven't confirmed.

Good point! If that’s the case, it seems like whoever designed the MB Favorites feature took a vacation to the Bermuda Triangle of common sense. Audi and BMW have this feature down pat—it's so basic they probably invented it in crayon during recess. Meanwhile, Mercedes is using an elaborate system of carrier pigeons!

While I understand what you are saying I have to disagree. I currently have two Mercedes (a 2023 GLC 300 and a 2024 E350 ) and I've had 5 previous Mercedes eClass. The GLC 300 combines the AM/FM/Sirius favorites into the same favorites list. The previous Mercedes EClass cars did that as well.
Both current cars run MBUX Version 2 which introduced the zero layer. The number of differences between the software on the two cars is extensive. Very useful features on the GLC 300 do not exist in the E350. For example, on the GLC 300 if you go to the settings menu, then system, then the Hey Mercedes settings you sill see something that says direct commands with an info circle. If you press that you will see a list of commands that you say without saying Hey Mercedes first. It includes things like next station, previous station, music louder, music quieter, etc. On the GLC next station gives you the next favorite station. Really useful feature that I use on the GLC because it is even less distraction than using the scroll buttons. If you go to this menu item on the E350 it doesn't have direct commands. Why?
My opinion: It seems like they have a different external groups for for each class and there is no common design criteria which is absurd. Why should the GLC have great features that are not in the E350? I should mention that the GLC has not had a software update since 12/31/22. I've driven loaner GLC's when I've had mine in for service and they have the same problems as the E350. I think they've held off on updates to the GLC since the newer software introduced these problems.
I got a software update yesterday on the E350 to E265.1-5545 that installed late in the day. I didn't drive the car until this morning. In going through things I can't see that they fixed any of the bugs that I'm having or added any of the missing features that are in the GLC. I've had the E350 since March so ample time to correct this but for whatever reason Mercedes has chosen not to.
See this video posted 2 months ago and go to the 11:00 mark to see about direct commands.

Sounds like you do agree based on the highlighted quote above. If it's a bug then the design spec would have that functionality specified, but the defect or ommission in code would cause it not to work. If it's not in the design spec, it's not a bug by SDLC definition. While the end result is the same and most end users don't know or even care about the distinction, it has a very different path to resolution. I'm just speculating, but 35 years in the software development industry makes me think it is currently operating as initially designed and the design needs to change to be resolved.
The direct commands work in the W214 but there is not a list easily obtainable of which ones are available. Next track, for example works without the wake word even when there are more than one occupant or configured to always require a wake word. Other commands work as well but I have only tried a few myself. It would be nice to have a list easily accessible in the car.
MBUX Update 3.2.1 fixed this for me. My favorites are now available on the home screen when I click the audio shortcut. Still not available on the main page when you go through the main menu.
