New Wheels

I decided to switch back to my summer tires that came with the car (Pirelli P-Zero PZ4), but with new aftermarket wheels. I really liked the Vossen Hybrid Forged HF7 and after some initial second thoughts I finally decided to order them in Anthracite. I like the results! They are not as light as I thought they may be based on pictures and looking at a different size they had in stock at the wheel place. I'll keep the original Multi-Spoke AMG wheels with the winter tires mounted on them and swap them out in November and back to these in April. Here are a couple pics. Car is dirty and will get a good bath this weekend.

Wheels look good on the car.

I got 19" wheels with mine, and might purchase a set of the 20" AMG staggered, and put those on the car. And then keep the 19" around as a backup.

The offset and width on the 20" AMG wheels may not work for your car.

For the 2025 All-Terrain ? It should be a direct bolt-on. These are optional wheels that already come on the All-Terrain, which I unfortunately did not opt for, for an additional $850.

Are you referring to the E53 AMG wheels ? Or are you referring to the E450 All-Terrain wagon's AMG wheels ?

I was referring to the E450 All-Terrain Wagon's AMG wheels, when I posted the prior post.

Either way, the following are the specs between the 2 cars:

E53 AMG (wheel-size / Offset / Tire-size):
20x9.5 front / Offset: 25.2 / 265/40/20
20x10.5 rear / Offset: 43 / 295/35/20

E450 All-Terrain 20" (wheel-size / Offset / Tire-size):
20x9 front / Offset: 32 / 255/40/20
20x10 rear / Offset: 48.1 / 285/35/20

The E53 wheels will move outward by 6.8mm in the front, and 5.1mm in the rear, based on the offset (virtually invisible).

The tires seem to be a tiny bit taller in the E53, vis-a-vis the E450 All-Terrain, since both have the same aspect ratio, while the E53 being 10mm wider front/rear.

I was referring to the E53 Hybrid wheels. But, I admit, I was just speculating and had not actually run any calculations.

Not a problem. Thanks for clarifying. I am planning to get one of these, but the E53 version, with the tires mentioned, will probably be a wee bit taller (0.3” taller), and hence I might just stick with the E450 20” staggered. Plus since the E53 version caters for the Plug-in hardware, with an additional 500lbs of weight to cart around, the wheels themselves may be heavier too.

Still not decided.

The 20" staggered wheels are on the car, as of today. Of course since these are MB OEM wheels for the W214 E450 All-Terrain, it was a direct-bolt-on, as mentioned above.

The tires are Mercedes OEM-Spec Pirelli Max-Performance Summer tires, and once the season is over, I plan to replace this set, with either of the below combinations:

255/40/20 Front (overall height 28"), 295/35/20 Rear (overall height 28.1"). ====> Combination 1
265/40/20 Front (overall height 28.5"), 305/35/20 Rear (overall height 28.4") ====> Combination 2

The 2nd combination above, is a wee bit taller than Combination-1, but overall, should work with no fitment or other issues. The wheels are wide enough (specifically for combination-2), based on my checking.

Looks great : ) not really sure who (Vossen or MB) had it first but these wheels are also similar to the W206 C 43 designs, not completely identical but similar, other than paint colour of course: https://www.or24.de/media/6d/1b/3c/1...?ts=1729519226

if I were to make a change I’d probably go 18s with higher profile tires these 20s with non run flat Bridgestones were fine in Florida but in Rhode Island with all the bumps and potholes the car rides no better than my 2009 Chevy Colorado pickup truck with 235 50 18s. No a happy camper just got back up north a few days ago. There’s a lot of roads I’m gonna be avoiding.

Gorgeous wheels, but they look like a nightmare to clean. Speaking of clean, anyone have any suggested wheel care products? Cleaners, brushes, coatings, etc?

I currently use a spray on wheel cleaner, a Speedmaster Wheel Brush, and I coated them with Carpro CQuartz DLux. They still don't clean up as easily as I would like them to. And, I honestly don't know if applying the Carpro DLux actually did anything.

.
I use Meguiar's Hot Rims Foaming Wheel & Tire Cleaner. I spray it on, let it set for 5 minutes and rinse it off using a hose w/pressure nozzle. No brushing is needed.
