About to purchase a new 2025 E450 All Terrain

Hi Everyone, I currently own 2022 Sprinter long & tall 3500 with the super single package. I'm about to purchase a new 2025 E450 All Terrain to useas a sales/ estimating vehicle and for quick projects where I don't need the capacity of my Sprinter. Was looking for a wagon- can't stand suv's and decided on an E450 allterrain over a v70 and an A6 Allroad, as I believe the straight 6 with the mild hybrid SHOULD be pretty durable. Today went to the dealer to complete the process, but decided to pause- I've had so many issues with my Sprinter and Mercedes has never responded to any of my emails or phone calls. I just got really turned off and decided I would pause. I want to hear from those of you who own an e450 sedan or wagon- has the car been reliable? Any electronic issues? Please help. I really want the safety features this car has, and would really enjoy driving it. I drive a lot. No problem taking care of the car. Would you buy your car again if given the chance? Want to go back to dealer tomorrow to take delivery, just don't want to have another "Sprinter " experience.

Oh my... a few very positive experiences- and a few very negative! Im more concerned with mechanical reliability and durability, the MBUX in my Sprinter has been bulletproof. Thanks for posting those links, I'm exploring the forums now.

My 2025 All-Terrain is my 2nd one. The first one was a 2022 All-Terrain, which I drove for over 2 years and nearly 40K miles, and then sold to my brother. Not even a whisper of a problem, throughout the period of ownership. And my brother has had a blissful ownership since.

My 2025 All-Terrain has now crossed 4500 miles and thus far, reliability wise, has been spotless.

Ok, no response from dealer. So I'm looking for a knowledgeable salesperson to SELL ME THE CAR. Looking for a pro, someone who KNOWS the car. Anyone out there have an E450 All Terrain on their lot? Already have approval with good APR with MBFS. Will want to speak with your service Mgr to discuss potential future issues and ways to mitigate potential problems.
Any Mercedes pros out there with a black or nautical blue E450 with the superscreen on your lot, within 75 miles of 44256? Will be an easy sale- just want to talk with a service pro first- is that asking too much?

I bought a 2023 just in Feb. So far no issues. It's a great car. Functional, fast, good economy, smooth, looks great, nice stereo. Mbux is weird, but its my first Merc, i only speak BMW and I'm still learning.

Thanks everyone! MBFS got involved and had a master tech reach out to me- feeling much better about the purchase, going to sign papers. Glad it's finally over! But pretty sure it's a great car.

I sure did! Have had the car for a couple weeks, and overall, Im impressed- bought it for my business and work out of it when I don't need the Sprinter. Mileage is excellent, the best of any car I've owned. Just amazing! Cargo area works too, I often carry tools and occasionally cabinetry components, and the room is sufficient.

While the dealer gave me a very good deal on the car, and met my expectations for my trade in allowance, the purchase experience was underwhelming, as if I was buying a used Kia. For any salespeople reading this, here's some suggestions:

Make sure you go over the car COMPLETELY before demo. Carefully explain the safety features, how they work, how to get the most from them.
Go over the window sticker- my salesperson didn't, and features I thought were included, were not. Would have selected a different car. I know, my fault, should have caught it.
During delivery, show these important functions: Tire change kit, hood latch, lift points, tow bolt use. Go over the car completely. Of course, your cient will need to learn much of the car other own, but you should be helping them to know what they need to know in the event of a breakdown. Don't assume your client already knows!

I bought the car because of my own research. The dealer was absolutely useless in that regard, no excitement, no positive encouragement- not one person in the dealership ever said anything good about the car. Had to wrestle to get a senior tech on the phone to answer questions and concerns about the M256 engine. Was the only person I encountered who had anything positive to say about the car.

Mercedes, take better care of your clients!

Lucky you got one as a loaner, my dealership only offers A class or off brands.

You, sir, are a gentlemen who cares about their car but you represent an extreme minority of the customer base. Presume less than .001% of clientele know or care what a tow hook is (I am with you of course). Ditto for most of the other features.

Coolant System Malfunction 2025 E450 AT

Hit first snag with car in 3,500 miles driven. Dealer says too many fault codes to diagnose today. Car staying in shop over the July 4th weekend. Not happy about a problem to so new a car.

Your experience is unfortunate. When you buy a car you are also buying a dealer. I've been most pleased with my dealer (through 5 Mercedes) in Scarborough, ME and almost feel a stronger loyalty to them than to Mercedes.

That's unfortunate that you're having this issue. And the car being out of commission in the midst of a holiday weekend, when they are not going to do anything with the car.

I have a car similar to yours ('25 E450 All-Terrain) and it has close to 7K miles now, with zero issues till date. My prior car (subsequently sold to my brother) was a 2022 E450 All-Terrain, which too had zero issues in around 40K miles of driving with an additional 15K miles of trouble-free driving with my brother. Hopefully, in your case, this will be a rare glitch and will be fixed soon......I suspect it is connected to the software/firmware, and probably nothing hardware related.
