I'm using Samsung S24 Ultra which claims to support MB digital key in Samsung Wallet. When I tried to configure it: digital vehicle key activated in MB app NFC and UWB on, logged in to my profile in MBUX, chose to create owner key, put my phone unlocked, Samsung Wallet as the default contactless payment, and facing up in the phone cradle, had both physical keys with me. Hitting the start button brought failure instantly. Did I miss anything? Anyone succeeded in this?

Read post 16 onwards or the entire thread if you wish, read linked threads as well: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ml#post9284777

https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...hicle-key.html

That said, the consensus is no one seems to have it working in the USA yet for android.

Edit: Someone have it working in the USA: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ml#post9285317

Thank you for the links. I'll read through the posts. Seems to be YMMV.

If like me, you do not see the Setup Digital Key option in the Mercedes app then you likely won't be able to set it up. I plan on contacting support for the Mercedes app, but it hasn't been a priority for me.

It seems from your instruction and someone else's experience, enabling the key relies on the option of Digital Vehicle Key in the MB app. I don't see this option in my phone (v3.65.1). Probably because my subscription is inactive so no remote control menu there.

Right, I don't see it. I'll see if a dealer can do anything for it.

You must have an active subscription to digital extras to have the Digital key regardless of phone. I have an active subscription and still don't see it in the app, but I have all the other extras.

Digital Vehicle Key shows activated in the app. I guess it's lifetime?

Found some info regarding W214s: some cars built early (2023- sometime 2024) were equipped with old communication chips that are incompatible with Android phones. IPhones' NFC/UWB are backward compatible so they can be connected. The MB app hides the Digital Vehicle Key icon on incompatible phones.

From those threads it mentioned two option codes, you need both, just having one is not enough. Basically to sum up, MB had the vehicles prepared for digital key and realized they need additional hardware hence the second option code to enable it.

My 2025 was built in July 2024 so maybe that's why I don't have it. My phone supports it, but if the car doesn't then it would make sense to hide the option in the MB app. No worries as I would not use it anyway except in case I lost or damaged my key fob while out. What makes me think it may be another issue is that when I login to the Mercedes Me website (not phone app) it shows that mobile phone integration and online map updates needs to be enabled. It says I have them but when I hit the button to enable it, it just says pending. I've disabled and re-enabled multiple times but cannot get it to clear. I'll still contact support when I eventually get around to it. They likely won't be able to do anything anyway. I'll be getting a new head unit in a couple weeks due to a USB music issue I have so maybe that will change things.
