The choice of tune is entirely up to you. All the major players have tuned this modification.
Understood. Any local tuners in SD (or, OC)?

Buyer silence on a new mod is never a good thing. Generally people post up impressions of a new buy while still in the box. I'm interested in this, but only when proven to not carry any baggage.

Someone that has one told me that it's helped him up top and that is where most of the slippage happens
Will be getting one soon and will post my findings as well

Here are pictures of SW`s belt wrap kit on his SL55 he just built last week.

I put my belt wrap kit on last week and just put the motor back in yesterday. Also added the smaller super charger pulley. I love just looking at it!

Our Belt wrap kit on my car with belts on it. I had the green belt extra, so threw it on for a little color.

The 83mm SC pulley`s sell out before each run is completed but will have a few to ship out Friday.

Long Term Review & 22hp

My SC engages smoother and the acceleration is improved especially from 3200 rpm and higher. I noticed big improvements between 40mph and 130mph & then backed off the throttle.
I have had my belt wrap kit installed for 28 days and put over 1200 miles on my car. The belt wrap kit is preforming perfectly. I am running the 84mm SC pulley with a kleemann 168 crank pulley. Prior to the belt wrap kit I noticed allot of belt dust on the top of my thermostat housing from the SC belt slipping. After the install no belt dust is present .I am very happy with this high quality product. My SC engages smoother and the acceleration is improved. I have put this belt wrap kit to the test including a trip to the dyno an also the dragstrip. I had my car dyno tuned by Eurocharged before the belt warp kit and decided to see if I gained any power after my belt wrap kit install. I made sure that the test conditions were the same for both dyno days to get as accurate results as possible. I am very happy with the increase of 22hp. I am attaching my dyno results for review.

The reason you made 22hp more is because they used STD correction instead of SAE. Not a good comparison. STD corrects to a lower temp and makes 5% more.

Looks like he still used a correction factor on both dynos (1.03 and 1.04) , so the STD was maybe not defaulted to it STD correction factor of (60 deg, 29.92 and 0 hum) in the program. Even if it was ran on the STD correction only , based on his air density numbers posted, it would not be even close to 5% difference.

Bottom line, with belt slip you loose boost and a little boost can easilly be 20-30 hp loss. Nice to see peopel starting to post thier feedback and dynos to give us ideas. It is common knowledge, that all our belts slip and the reason we get so much belt wear and nasty black dust all over our crank, sc and idler pulleys.

Below is a quote from GM Hightech magazine that explains STD
"STD Correction
STD, or standard correction, represents one of the oldest correction factors used by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). STD is also known as J607 and it uses standard conditions of 60-degrees F, 29.92inHg and 0-percent humidity. For you engine dyno enthusiasts, these factors should look familiar, as STD (J607) is one of the most popular correction factors available and used almost exclusively by NASCAR teams to compare results from chassis dyno testing to results from the engine dyno. STD is also one of the most stable correction factors, in that it has not been changed for many years and the ideal factors remain consistent."

This is as close as I could get to my BW kit installed. Need to try a side angle for the next picture.

We put a belt wrap kit , power SC Pulley and new idler kit on a out of town car yesterday and here are the pics. Check out the video of the idler pulley. 06 e55 with 60K, idler seemed ok, until the SC belt was removed and wow, this one was gone!

Check out the video of the stock idler below, before we installed the 3 kits for him.

Just noticed, the belt resting on the belt wrap pulley doesn't look like it fully sits on the pulley, kind of hanging off the edge, is that normal?

What folks forget is during the cars shift is where you can lose boost so having belt wrap from a idler will keep your boost up. You may not always see it in dyno results but at the track. Either way these cars need this.

Lot more contact/wrap on the crank pulley as well (the drive pulley).

The picture in my post above, was before the car was started or belts aligned. This car made 518 RWHP with SC pulley, belt wrap, headers and tune only! That is impressive and clutch engagment was extremely smooth.
