FS: E55 / E500 / others - New VRP Short Tube Headers
New in the box....VRP shorty headers. I've decided to go another route with my headers, so I'm putting these up for sale.
$1220 shipped.

VRP offers a bolt-on header by mounting it directly to the OE down pipes, VRP headers are hand built from 16gauge mild steel that is then coated with a 2000F HiTemp Ceramic coating. VRP headers provide gains of 26rwhp and 23rwtq (tested on a 2006 E55). These headers will work on the following cars:
* W211 E55 Kompressor
* W211 E500
* W203 C55
* R230 SL55 Kompressor
* R230 SL500
* W209 CLK55
* W209 CLK500
* W219 CLS55 Kompressor
* W219 CLS500

I want 'em! I want 'em! I want 'em!
I have been kicking these around in my head for some time now. What held me up was the thought of moving into a CL65 or SL65 this summer. I have now put that thought on the back burner and have decided to mod my E55 a bit more before horse-trading. I think the direct bolt-on factor is good for me, even though I know there are more ponies to be found in more elaborate designs. My only problem is that I may need to wait until after April 1st (8 days) to move the appropriate funds from column "A" into column "B" as I just pulled the trigger on a CF airbox from Vadim last week. Certainly, if someone zips you the money before then, take it! But if you still have them as of April 1, let's talk. BTW: can you work with a PayPal payment?

Fitment Question
Just a quick question to confirm that these are a direct-fit bolt-on replacement for the factory manifolds on an 05 W211 E55 and will bolt right up the the factory cats. Anybody out there running these on their E55 with any comments on installation??

I sure don't want to slow you down with moving these, but here is the deal. Just as I was typing up a post asking for a paypal payment request , my cell phone rang. It was my SA at the dealership. They just took in an 05 SL65 with 11k miles. I missed out on an opportunity on an 05 CL65 with 17k miles last month. Needless to say, the dealership needs significantly more out of the SL than last month's CL (CLs seem to depreciate ALOT more quickly than SLs??). I really think that at the end of the day, this SL would be a foolish move, but my SA said he would help me with the sales manager and tell him what a great customer I am and how much I shovel into mods to try to get me the for-real bottom line on this car. In other words, I don't want to jump on these headers only to then make the (imprudent) move on this SL which of course will require a trade. I should know if this is going to work by Monday. If you get a buyer before then, my loss. If not and I come to my senses, I will set up a paypal transaction with you on Monday. I sure would love that TT V12, but I can probably have a great deal of fun for FAR less by continuing to mod my E.
Thank You!!!

Return to Sanity
O.K. I'm awake now. Nice dream while it lasted, but no SL65 for me ... at least not in '09. SO that means I will allow myself some more modding fun with my E55!! I am heading out of the office for the day. Let's touch base tomorrow about payment through PayPal.
