2023 EQB 350 & 2014 GL350
I'm gonna assume a few things:
1) The auto market is softening with interest rates
2) The EQB faces headwinds from the tax situation
2) Just like back in the "normal" times of more reasonable supply/demand the discounts will vary wildly by region, dealer, and season.
Watching two local dealers, the 300s and 350s are moving (and likely customer orders) while there's increasing numbers of 250s in stock. I'm gonna chalk that up to the strong desire for AWD here in MN combined with some very oddly equipped vehicles that MB must have sent. I can't imagine the local dealers ordering vehicles without heated seats and/or steering wheels. That's a hard sell when every other vehicle on the lot is equipped with both.

Mine did not come with heated seats

I would imagine that trying to sell RWD vehicles in MN would be quite a trick. Very likely dealer could use these to swap with other dealers in climates where 4Matic is less of a necessity. But at least around NY-NJ, it also appears to be from monitoring dealers that most of the 300/350's are ordered vehicles. Just hope by the time mine is built in June that more of the supply-chain issues are resolved. I still count on 3 months from build to delivery, though.

The $7500 lease rebate has been going on for the last few months and I would consider that to be an MBUSA rebate rather than a dealer discount. As I've been saying, just hope they are still offering it the end of the summer when mine should arrive.

The current legislation carves out a loophole in the $7500 EV tax credit for commercial buyers. Since a lease vehicle is technically sold by your dealer to MBFS, a commercial entity, MBFS is entitled to a $7500 tax credit. They in turn pass thqt along to the buyer and the $7500 beomes a capital cost reduction. So if you do not want to lease, you can always lease the vehicle and receive your $7500 pass-through from MBFS. Then buy out your lease. You'll get the bulk of the $7500 minus whatever costs and pro-rated interest.
