New owner; several questions
I found a great deal for a lightly used-lease 2023 EQB 350 that barely had 6800 miles on it. The carfax was clean and it did have that battery recall on it, so I took it in to the dealer to get the recalls taken care of and tire balanced. I am needing help from the community getting my bearings around mercedes maintenance since this is my first mercedes.
-I called two different dealers and for the "service B", one is charging $850+ and another dealer is at $450. Looking at what service B entails for an EV, I can do most of the work, but I would want them to handle fluid top-offs and mechanical inspections. Has anyone here tried to do some of the work themselves, or others at a 3rd party mechanic shop for basic maintenance and tire rotations?
-I have to check if my vehicle has the older black cap for the coolant, I just found through these forums that it is a problem with the EQB coolant caps. My EQB was assembled late 2022 and delivered early 2023 so I'm assuming I'll have that issue. Are there other things I have to be aware of and to fix early on?
Thanks in advance!
My left side was lower than the right, so I vented left side only and now it’s higher. I did not vent the black side.
I had no coolant warning prior to this, just did the venting of left side as a preventative measure. "]https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbworld.org-vbulletin/2000x1504/image_7944d89ac6211de962a0b6f23682e443a62bc98a.jpg[/img]
Here is my coolant cap. The part # is correct, but unsure if previous models had the same part number. My left side was lower than the right, so I vented left side only and now it’s higher. I did not vent the black side. I had no coolant warning prior to this, just did the venting of left side as a preventative measure.

I have a used vehicle but it’s a 23’ with 7K miles on the nose.

I just had my second Service done and I feel like it’s not worth it for an EV to go to MB. With a ICE Car it might be different. You can feel the difference after a Service there. With my EV, not so much. On the Invoice(0.0$) it states several Items but not what should have been included in Service B.
I miss any mention of Breake Fluid work or Material.
Missing any mention of Cabin Air Filter change in labor or Materials.
No mention of any check and result of the High voltage Battery Check.
The attached Checklist where everything was checked ok is a ICE Car Service Sheet. Nothing in it is EV Specific.
I feel totally mistreated here again.
To me, it only shows how less EV knowledge is in these Services Garages. I will skip any other Services from now on. Everthing that needs to be done can be done by me or if I choose so, a regular garage near me.
Overpriced and suspicious in the actual Work been done.

I found the details for the Break Fluid change and one Cabin Filter (aren'ed there two?). I skipped a Page from the Report on the Way home. Still not going back.
