Update on EQE United States Pricing

I stopped by my local Mercedes dealer today to check in on the status of the EQE 350+ that I have ordered. Production date had moved from 11/29 to 10/7. Although, no base price was shown on the sheet, option pricing was available. Here are the prices of the options that I have:
956 Manufaktur Alpine Gray Non-Metallic - $1,750
DA2 Driver Assistance Package - $1,250
DA4 Exterior Lighting Package - $1,100
DE1 PRE-SAFE Rear Seat Package - $850
DG1 AMG Line Exterior Package - $2,200
216 10 Degree Rear Steering - $1,300
401 Heated and Ventilated Seats - $450
444 Head Up Display (Advanced) - $1,100
489 Airmatic - $1,900
581 Dual Zone Climate Control - $750
5U4 Diamond Grill - $300
P16 Package - Beginners and Parking Mode - $50
P53 Fine Particle Sensor - $450
PAF Accoustic Comfort Package - $1,100
D07 Wheel Locking Bolts - $160
D43 All-Season Floormats - $170
D49 First Aid Kit - $35
D9B Credit for Missing Standard 871 Hands Free Access - (-$100)

$14,825 in Options plus $1,150 Deliver & Destination Charge. As optioned, I'm anticipated the car to be in the high $80s to low $90s delivered.

2014 Mercedes E350 4matic Wagon, 2018 Fiat 124 Spyder Lusso manual, 2005 Acura TSX manual
Some of those don’t line up
L3E steering wheel should be free.
p16 should be $50
p53 should he $450
And the $1100 should be acoustic comfort I assume?

Also the names aren’t finalized. DE1 should just be “trim level content” consisting of active ambient lighting and AR Nav. And 581 is four zone. Also I believe the exterior lighting package will be called the digital light package instead.

Agree with all of Benjamin's remarks and have edited to correct the misalignments. So, the figures above should now be correct. His other remarks about the package names I believe will be true.

If the car price is in the $80K, then I'm out. I expect mid $60K.

My heavens!
I'm always intrigued at how much money is spent on stuff I wouldn't even think of buying.
Happy driving in your E class!

EQE 500
One of the new YouTube videos mentioned Car & Driver said the 350 would start around $70k and the 500 at mid $80s. Saw another mention that Mercedes gave a hint to look at CLS pricing.

I'm thinking 350 starts around $72, $85 well optioned. 500 $85k, $95 well optioned. This lets it start below the i4 M50 and G80 Electrified.

I got a long range Model 3 way back in 2018 at $60k. If the EQE were available back then at $80k, it would've been an easy decision to spend the extra on an EQE.

The BMW i4 e Drive40 starts around $56K ( 300 mile range) , MB EQE 350 ( hopefully 350mile range) should be $65K. Anything more than that is way expensive. Remember, the recession is coming, I don't think people are willing to pay high. Another thing is the Euro is weaker than the U.S dollar.

EQE 500
Interestingly on range, there are two new YouTube videos out of a Denver Mercedes event that are supposed to be the US spec EQE 500. One had a range of 199 miles at 58%. Extrapolating that, it's 343 miles. IIRC, the other one had estimated range of 326 miles. Obviously these are just the estimates and an extrapolation but it kinda gives me hope that they'll have decent range. On the other hand, ArsTechnica posted 3.1 miles/kWh which only gives 280 miles, though I've noticed Gitlin (Ars' automotive writer) has a heavier foot than I seem to.

EQE Pricing Leaked by Car and Driver?

This Car and Driver comparison article states their EQE 350 4Matic tester has a $78k starting price, and $93k as tested price.

EQE 500
Ouch. That puts the 500 at $100k+. Might as well get an EQS 450 4Matic which is showing up at dealers now.

So the EQE 350 RWD base price would be $75K. Just my guess.

EQE 500
Car and Driver also got a range of 260 miles which is...disappointing. Out of Spec on Youtube got 292 which is a little better but still short of what I'd like.

Yeah, I expect at least 330 to 350 mile range. With high price and low range like that, I don't think MB will attract enough buyers. By the way, the base MB EQS at the dealer in Monterey , CA can be bought at $98K. Can you believe it?

I noticed the same as well. Also, If you go to the Makes & Models link at the top and choose EQE, on that page they seemingly have the prices for the other trims too. Not sure how accurate, but I’ve been to that page a couple times before and noticed the price updated from being estimated to more specific numbers. Looks like they may have reversed the 350+ and the 350 4 matic prices though.

75,950 for EQE 350+
78,950 for 350 4 matic
86,950 for 500 (although this one still says estimated)

Please make sure it's the USD price , not Euro price ( which includes 15% VAT).

Yeah Car and Driver is a US publication and prices they report are in US dollars not Euros. Occasionally for vehicles not yet available in the US market, they may report their prices from the car’s country of origin or another market, but they would usually specify that if that were the case. But yeah, I have no insider info and I’m not sure how accurate this is, just wanted to share that find in case it’s interesting for anyone else.

Wow so the EQE 500 pretty much has the same MSRP as the RWD Taycan. Granted they're very different cars, and while the EQE beats the Taycan in every other category handily, the Taycan does have a way better exterior imo, better handling and arguably a more prestige badge.

Thanks for posting, yup that is steep, and as someone else mentioned, the Taycan seems like a better buy (well, before we go crazy on the options...)

2023 BMW M340i, 2025 MB CLE53 AMG
I was so interested in this but it is too expensive for me for the 500V4 model which would be the only one I want. Anyway, the 350V4 model received only a fair review in the latest C&D calling it "less than compelling equivalent of the ICE version.
I ended up ordering a BMW i4M50 (much cheaper than this) but ended up cancelling it for a M340i. I wanted an electric car but I think it's still too early in the game. I'll give it another 5 years.
I'm happy with my decision.

As you already know the i4 competes with the 4 series and is based on the same platform as the ICE vehicle so they didn't have to spend R&D on an entirely new platform. The i4 therefore competes with the C-Class, one tier below the E-Class hence why it should be cheaper than the EQE.

Even though Mercedes themselves market the EQS as the S-Class EV, they told some reviewers that it is meant to be an E-Class ICE equivalent in terms of where the model sits at and the S-Class (without the EQ name) EV is in the cards which means in this case, the EQE is the C-Class ICE equivalent in terms of where the model sits at other than the price.

The cost of producing EV at least for now is higher than the ICE vehicles therefore to have the price similar or the same to the ICE vehicles, they needed to do this if they don't want to raise the price too much. Otherwise you would have the price of the EQS higher than the S-Class.

Edited to add as an example: If you haven't notice, you get more C-Class trims, (where the window switches are) and design in the EQE. One thing that stands out would be the steering wheel of the base trim (not amg line) is from the C-Class instead of the E-Class ICE, etc.

If you say the EQE is the C-Class ICE equivalence, then the starting price of the EQE is too high. Starting price of the C is $45K, then the starting price of the EQE should be $65K , not $75K. Just my opinion.
