Engine Sounds (AMG Authentic / Performance etc.) - is it audible OUTSIDE of the vehic
Hi, are the "engine sounds" audible outside of the vehicle (e.g., when I select S+ on my EQE AMG with the "performance" sound setting, is what I hear inside the car also projected outside the vehicle)? Or is it inside only?

Yes, they are audible outside. You can also select whether they are audible inside, outside, or both.

I could've sworn that it's audible on the outside of AMG models. I have a non-AMG variant, I'll have to check it out. We have an eTron in the neighborhood that's always making external noises. I had them on in my EQE for a while, but I have to say that I do value the quiet during the drive.

Could you guys be talking about two different sounds? There's the pedestrian warning noise that's obviously audible outside. But does that audible warning match what the car plays inside for simulated engine noise?
Standing outside my brother's Audi Q4 etron, it has the pedestrian warble sound but it doesn't change with speed. I have a feeling my EQE does the same.

We have an eTron in the neighborhood and it definitely has a sound that changes with speed. I've seen review videos of EQE AMGs and they definitely have sounds on the outside from what I can tell. I guess I'll have to turn mine on and set up a GoPro or ask my wife and the kiddos to stay still while I fly by.
