According to my dealership my 2023 EQS 580 SUV has been built and is sitting in Alabama with no scheduled delivery date. Anyone heard a date when MB plans on actually releasing the 2023 580 EQS SUV’s that are already produced?

No idea but wanted to say I’m in the same boat. Car went into production Sep 20 and presumably now just sitting around.

The only constraint should be time to ship because there is no hold on these cars. Some people already have taken delivery.

For more context, I’m in DC so not too far from Alabama. Last communication I had was that car had gone into production on Sep 20. I haven’t been told that it’s finished so maybe mine is not done. Not sure how long it takes to build the car, if anyone knows, please share!

I know folks who have received their ESQ sedans but no one who has received a 2023 ESQ SUV yet.

People have taken delivery, perhaps just not on the forums. The SUV was released and available on dealer lots for purchase for almost two weeks or so now.

Can confirm they’ve been released, your car is just waiting on a truck or a train. No one can say how long that will be.

We are taking delivery tomorrow of our EQS 580 SUVx4 tomorrow. It arrived last Friday but been out of town traveling. Our car was built Aug 10, so it’s taken about 6 weeks to arrive. But again our car was built prior to the MSRP being set by MBUSA, which is what our SA mentioned as to the delay.

There are dealers that have the EQS 580 SUV in-stock. A few in Chicago that are asking $25,000 over MSRP (INSANE!)
I just did a custom order today and will be patient , did it with a dealer that will sell at MSRP.
