That looks repairable. Won't be perfect, but at least keeps the damage from spreading in the meantime. I had a similar bullseye two years ago. See before and after repair. I did end up replacing the windshield, because the damage was in my line of sight and it distorted the view, but yours looks low down, so shouldn't be an issue.
Ooh, unfortunate! But as mentioned, it isn't in a spot that interferes with your line of sight, still very lame though for your new car!

While I am sure there is hopefully some coverage through insurance did your Service Advisor say what it would cost for parts and labor... Also I assume you are having this done at the MB service department? I don't know if I would just trust any automotive window shop even if that's all they do.

Are any of these windshield repair places you see in TV commercials like Safelite any good? I have a small crack also not in the line of sight. I’m in the Denver area. Thanks.
I’ve used SafeLite three times in the past with star shaped cracks with good success. All three of mine are down near the windshield wipers and only I know they are there. You do take your chances though. I have read that on rare occasions when they apply the vacuum pump on the crack it can make it larger.
Where I live in Texas the temperatures can go from 30F to 85F in two days and the heat can make cracks worse and spread so I get mine fixed as soon as possible.
Good to hear. I would only have our local Mercedes Service Center order and install a windshield for our EQS SUV. It's gotta have the Mercedes signature on the lower passenger side or it's not going on our car.
How much did it cost? I just got a crack on my windshield.
I just had my windshield replaced on my 23 EQS 580 sedan for a 12” crack from a rock. Had local Mercedes dealer replace it. Cost was $4200, covered by my insurance (USAA). I thought this was quite high and asked my insurance agent. Labor cost was $1300. Agent said cost was high (average labor cost $300-400) but they tried to source the replacement windshield at the shops they use locally and no one else could get the windshield except Mercedes, so they approved it fully. I have to say the Mercedes dealer did a great job installing it, cannot tell any difference from the original glass.
Check with your insurance company. You may be able to get it replaced for only the cost of the deductible. The insurance company will want to use a third party replacement, but these usually are not available for newer cars, so they may have to use a Mercedes part instead. This is more likely to be true if you have the acoustic windshield (which is thicker).
If there is a third party windshield available, you can still get Mercedes parts if you pay the difference. I have experienced both situations. That said, the second time my older car's windshield was damaged, I used a third party replacement which has been just fine.

That’s sounds right to me. When I got the part numbers from my Mercedes dealer I looked up the cost of the windshield. Dealer quoted around $2100 for the glass. Mbpartsource sells it for $1300. As long as they can get the correct windshield I would go with the non dealer providers. I have the thermal/acoustic glass and no other local provider could get it.

Well, you would expect the dealer to have stock. I was commenting about third party replacements, where the insurance company may not be able to find a third party windscreen for your car, especially if it is the acoustic version. In that case, they have to pay for a OEM windscreen from Mercedes.
