Well equipped 580 Pinnacle with 3 row, $3k below MSRP
Wanted to share this offer if anyone is interested. This is the car I ordered but changed my mind about.
The car is well equipped with Pinnacle package and all the high tech features like rear seat entertainment, AR HUD, etc. also has 3 row seating with 5 zone climate control.
Dealer is offering the car for $3k below MSRP. There is also a $7500 incentive on leases until end of year or a federal tax credit until Dec 31 if you are eligible.

That's $8K less than they wanted from you a couple of weeks ago. Almost all of the EQS SUVs I looked at 5 weeks ago are still on the lots at nearby dealers. You mentioned you might wait until next year to pick up a lightly used one for a lesser price. You may be able to get your own special ordered SUV at a steep discount in three months or so since it is likely to still be in inventory.
Beautifully equipped EQS 580 SUV, why are you walking away?
I have a pessimistic macro economic outlook and think it might be better for me if I waited a few months.

I have a feeling this one will sell. While it is expensive it is also very well specced (except for the wood trim which was on constraint).
This one is effectively $10,500 below MSRP with the rebate. I’m hoping to get one of these $30k below lightly used next year.
Wow, I guess I should have waited one month. I picked up the identical car in white (I wanted selenite grey) and paid MSRP. I do think the car market has slowed down much more than expected especially on the high end.
I think this is one of only 3-4 selenite grey 580s with beige interior. I was looking since September and all selenite grey 580s cars on CarGurus we're black on the interior or not well equipped.

i mentioned earlier that I thought these high end Mercedes EVs were overpriced. It takes less time to manufacture an EV over an ICE vehicle. Pure profit for Mercedes-Benz! I'm not onboard until EVs can fly or they develop Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles for the mass market. I might purchase an EV motorcycle to replace the Ducati...riding a bike in essence is like flying!

ICE vehicles cost more to manufacture than EVs per cost analysis reports I've read.
I called this dealer and the sales guy (not Duke, someone else) said they add a $3K markup for out-of-state purchases after he learnt I live in California. Some other dealers I called are doing MSRP for out-of-state purchases. So definitely call around.

I don't think that the EQS SUV is eligible for the tax credit as it is too expensive >$80K

I thought so too but (I am not an accountant blah blah) looks like the transition rule actually qualifies the EQS SUV since it’s built in the North America. The price cap only kicks in next year. https://www.irs.gov/businesses/plug-...30-and-irc-30d

Thanks! I appreciate the correction to my understanding.

I was out of state and he offered me a $3k discount. My guess is they will take it unless they have suddenly found a lot of interest.
