We rented a house in Myrtle Beach for a vacation in September. To my surprise, I could not find a single public DC fast charger. No surprise, there is a Tesla SuperCharger nearby, but as of now, they are of no use. Have any of you vacationed in Myrtle Beach recently and found ways to charge your non-Tesla EV?
You should get the Tesla UMC with a 110v and 240v power cord along with a Lectron Tesla to J1772 adapter. You will be able to top up with the 110v at the rental house and you can stop by an RV park in an emergency in case the Hyundai ChargePoint charger is not conveniently located. The Tesla/J1772 adapter will come in handy if you stay at a hotel that only has Tesla destination chargers.
Our EQS SUV came with a 110 charger but if that were all we had, our EV would be charging the entire week just to get us out of Myrtle Beach.
Depends on whether you need to travel a lot while you are at Myrtle Beach.
You can charge up at the last/closest fast charging station to your destination, that should be enough for a round trip back to the charger after your vacation.
And the 110 Level charger hopefully would be enough to top up your daily commute while you are at Myrtle Beach. Also check out for any Tesla destination charger nearby to your rented house.

You may be right, thanks. There is a bank of Tesla Superchargers nearby, but they have not yet been opened up to CCS charging.
Here are the current Tesla Super Chargers open to CCS. It’s going to take a long time to retrofit chargers and no one knows how many Tesla sites will be changed over eventually….

You may not have watched it but the video I posted above is about that specific charger. It is better than nothing but it is a sad that all of Myrtle Beach has not yet embraced CCS fast charging.
