Hello folks,

I recently got an EQS580 suv. I have the rear seat entertainment package on it and was able to hookup an Amazon fire tv to it and able to see the content on both the screens. The issue i am having is trying to get the audio from the main speakers instead of using individual headphones. The message I see is it says main speaker audio active but I don't hear anything.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on how to make this work?

Near the bottom right of the display you'll see like a speaker icon. You tap that and it will toggle between headphone output and using the local speaker system in the eqs. I'll see if I can take a picture next time. I'm in the vehicle, but it's not super intuitive. Hope that helps.

Correct. That's what I tapped and it even acknowledged that the sound should be using the primary speakers but i dont hear anything. I showed it to a MB tech at the dealership and he wasn't sure what was happening.

Well that's no good. They'll have to take it apart, it's likely a wiring issue.

Does sound play thru headphones? Just making sure the fire TV and hdmi is working as it should.

Confirmed headphones work with a wire.

Maybe try resetting MBUX to see if that makes a difference. Sorry I don't know how to do it on your vehicle but I'm sure someone has posted it on here or maybe Google can help. If that doesn't fix it then ask the dealer if there any software updates or if they can reset or overwrite existing operating system.

sorry about not replying. I am going to take it to the dealershiip and see if they have any ideas.
