We Ordered a 2026 EQS 400 SUV
My wife and I placed an order for a 2026 EQS 400 SUV. Of course, MB may still put the order on hold September 1, we'll see, but for now it is in the order system. Our SA said six other MY26 EQS orders were visible heading to California.
I'll update this post if I hear anything new for our SA.

Well done Joe! I love the new color Sonora Brown, very nice looking. Love the wheels, we have the same, they really enhance the overall looks of the car. Very nicely appointed interior.
I do hope MB doesn't eliminate your Automatic Power Doors like they did back in 2022. lol

Realistically, I expect MB will put our order on hold September 1st until they sell the existing inventory. I wouldn't blame them if they do, after all, they'll in the business of selling cars for profit.

Thanks. We did option the multi-contoured seating with massaging, just not the Nappa leather.

Some dealerships are starting to receive MY26 EQS 400 SUV's. They are not visible on the mbusa.com web site but if you search the web, several have started showing up.
My order is still waiting for MB to confirm it will be go into production. Should know more soon with the September 1st pause of US builds almost here.

Went to my dealer today to ask a question about my car and saw several used 23 EQE suvs on the lot. Salesman said dealership bought them direct from Mercedes and have been successful in selling them since they are priced so low in respect to a new car. Not one new electric car on his lot.

That is likely the reason Mercedes has decided to pause US sales of all EQ models, to many unsold 23, 24, 25 models still sitting on dealers lots. The shame is that the EQ models are perhaps the best "luxury" EV's you can buy. I hope Mercedes turns this around with their next gen EV models because I prefer their vehicles over the competition. Mercedes is still the best in the luxury market IMHO.

Unfortunately, our EQS 400 SUV order was not picked up by MB, but no worries, we'll keep our MY23 EQS 580 SUV another year and see what is available next summer. The new MY27 GLC electric looks promising so no doubt new GLE and GLS electrics are in the works.
There are several EQS 400 SUV's available within 100 miles of us, none are equipped as we would want it.
