2024 EQS SUV 450 service
Coming on 2-year mark (~12K miles).
Reading mixed info about service.
I thought the first service was due at 2 years / 20K miles, but google says 1 year / 10K.
Well, it's too late for that
But would like to know.
The person answered the phone at the dealership had no clue (suggested I need oil change), but said it would cost ~$1,200.
Would like to be prepared, avoid surprises.
I only had tires rotated at ~7K miles.
Oh, and I just got a "Coolant level low" warning, had that once before.

The car has 2 separate coolant loops for different systems, so under the hood there are two reservoir bottles. The driver's side loop tends to slowly evaporate over the years/miles. When it gets too low the car gives that warning. My car did it at about 30000 miles. Unfortunately, the bottle doesn't have a fill line, so I just added coolant until it was about the same as the bottle on the passenger side (probably about a cup).
The approved coolants are listed under Mercedes Operating Fluids Specification 326.6.
Of all the options, Zerex G40 premix seems the easiest to find in the US. Readily available at most O'Reilly stores. (Make sure it's premix, not concentrate!)

Check out the other threads about this service. It is nonsense, and just a way for dealers to hang on to a major profit center. Oil change, lol.
