Will The EQS Look Like The W223?
I am on my third SL so I know little of the S Class Sedan. For those who have followed MB for a long time do you believe the all electric EQS will look the same as the S Class Sedan both on the exterior and interior or will the EQS have a different design look? Thank you...
PS- I have seen the renditions of the concept EQS but as we know what is finally produced rarely looks as sharp as the concept.

That would be fine given that the W223 looks fantastic
Unfortunately it appears that EQS looks nothing like the EQS Vision (which I would take in a NY second), rather it'll be a hatchback closer to the A7 roof line (or Tesla Model S). Same with the EQE. While it makes for a very spacious cabin and easy loading it is less desirable to my eye. I am still hoping for it to be decent looking.

No more MB:(
Not even close. From what is out so far, it looks pretty underwhelming. Nothing like the concept, which as Wolfman stated is good looking (could have been the best looking EV out there). I wouldn't get too excited about it unless you are determined.

Well, good grief this is the first I hear of this. Does anyone have pics/renderings of the production version. I'm with Wolfman in that, I was really excited about the concept images. Why would they negate a 'knock out of the park' design? Arghhhhh!

The EQ line is in addition to all the other classes as a sub-brand. So even though there will an EQS, there will still be an S-class with an internal combustion engine. The EQS will not replace it, at least in the near term as far as I understand. I could have sworn I saw an interview with a C-suite Mercedes executive who said that the S-class will continue to be the company flagship and the only model with an upright hood ornament. So we shouldn't be surprised if the EQS does not resemble the S-class.
I think the best way to think of the EQS is as a Tesla Model S competitor and not as an S-class/7-series/A8 competitor.

Personally I am excited for it. From what I have seen it will look much better than the W223. It will look more sporty and modern, whereas the W223 while every elegant, does look a bit like Grandpa's car (and I say this being 45 and my grandpas are long departed).
